A great museum for the kiddos

Went here with our grandson. He loved it - he's 11. Lots of hands on things to do and see. He could have spent all day there.

We love going to the Discoery Science Place. We have been taking my son since he was 18 months and he loves it. There is fun for all ages. They have different exhibits from time to time as well as educational programs. A must see!

I have been to similar places in other parts of the country and wondered if it would be much different. The kids had a blast. Both said their favorite thing was the TV camera part where they can pretend to do a newscast or a cooking show, while another one can be in the control booth changing camera angles. There... More

My son went here for a birthday party and had an absolute blast. They have several stations with various activities that keep the kids interested and busy. We could easily spend half a day in here.

A very creative way to teach children while they have a blast. My kids love this place. I would recommend this to any Mom, especially homeschooling Moms.

Thank you for your kind review. We're glad your family enjoyed their visit, and we hope to have you back soon. If your children are of upper elementary to middle school age be sure to look for Science Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters- free science programming hosted by UT Tyler science department students. I have been taking my grandchildren to The Discovery Science Place since the oldest was 1 year old (she is now 12). They still love it, and we always maintain an annual membership. There are many other museums/attractions that will reciprocate the membership, and either allow free entrance, or at a reduced cost. It is a great way to spend... More

We enrolled our granddaughter in Discovery Day Camp the week of Spring break...she enjoyed everyday. They used a different theme everyday which held her interest.

I have been visiting the Discovery Science place with my kids, daycare kids and grandkids for many years now. They always have a great time and find something new to do on every visit. We even got to go ice skating one time! And it is a great place to have a birthday party! If your planning a trip to... More

Thank you so much for your review. We're always glad to hear from those who have been visiting for some time. We haven't brought in the ice skating rink in a while! Perhaps we should consider bringing it back as a holiday treat at some point. Again, thank-you for the review. We're glad to hear your family has enjoyed their... More

This is a great place to take young kids. My four year old (3 at the time) had a blast. Our teenager was a little board but had fun playing with her brother since he was having so much fun.
