Can't wait to make it to another room! We enjoyed it very much. We did the Phantom Killer room. It was interesting because it is based on the true story of the Phantom killer.

I went through all four of their rooms, and had lengthy conversations with the owners and employees when I visited. They don't have a leader board (to see what teams got out the fastest), or even a photo wall here, which are things I am used to seeing when visiting escape rooms. However, they put a little different twist on things here. You are given a back story, and your team is trying to accomplish the task for each room. You aren't even necessarily working towards an escape, but rather to a completion of the task. There is also staff interaction while in the rooms, which is something I have not seen before. The rooms don't have a lot of stuff in them to distract you from your mission, all of the rooms are well lit and the clues are fun to find. I won't give anything away, but in one of their rooms, your task was to find out who committed a certain crime and at the end of your time you had to present your case to a judge. They also provided awards for what role each team member played while working the room, so they are obviously watching you closely and listening as well. Like I said, they have a different twist on the escape room and I did enjoy all of their rooms. My favorite was the Phantom Killer, with the Art Heist coming in a close second (this is their oldest room and will be going away soon). I did miss the leader board and photo wall though. The owners and staff are really nice here and they ask for your input after you have completed the room, so that they can make it better. All in all a really good time and worth the visit!!

A friend and I went for the first time on Friday. We were going to do the Phantom room, however since there was only two of us, it was suggested that maybe we consider a different room, as the Phantom room is better with more people (since there's way more clues to cover). We decided on doing the Art Heist room instead, partly because we were told that the theme of the room is going to be changed in the next couple of months and we didn't want to miss our chance. We had a terrific time!!! Finding and figuring out the clues was so much fun and challenging! A rush of satisfaction is felt every time we were able to unlock a box, lock, or door. We felt very accomplished knowing that we were able to successfully solve the mystery with only two of us, on our very first time ever, only 4 minutes past the 60 minute time limit. Afterwards, it was a surprise to have the owner review what took place in the room and award you a badge based on your performance! We had such a great time that we returned the next evening, with our significant others, and completed the Mad Scientist room. We fully intend on going again to do the other two rooms and any rooms that change themes. We waited until last minute to decide that we wanted to do the rooms and were unable to book online. However, we just called and they were more than accommodating and got us right in! If you're looking for something different to do and something that is fully interactive with your friends/family/group, I highly recommend going to Escape Texarkana and testing your wits!!!
