Jeep Tour

We did the Jeep tour and it was a lot of fun. Our guide was knowledgeable and really made for a good experience. We will be back to do the river tour and the casitas.

There are no words that do this Park justice. 1258 square miles of incredible vistas. Canyons that tower above you and leave you speechless. Take a week vacation and explore an awesome part of our country.

We rented two double and one single inflatable kayaks during thanksgiving 2016. I waited a while to write a review so I could be objective. We have rental kayaks/canoes etc. in both Texas and Canada and I have never had such a poor experience with an outfitter. During the discussion on which route to paddle the lady at the desk... More

This company organizes wonderful hiking, water sports, etc. in Big Bend National Park. They have great casitas which they rent out in conjunction with trips. Really professional staff that are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Casitas are clean and comfortable with front porches.

Far Flung Outdoor Center served as home base during a week of hiking in Big Bend N.P. Couldn't ask for better accommodations or nicer staff. Our casita was spotless, fully furnished, quite comfortable. All-round fabulous place to come home to after long day hikes. As nightfall descended, the fire ring was a great place to decompress, do some stargazing, and... More

Peaceful, educational, great food provided for lunch sandwiches. We were only one raft: a family and a couple. The guide, Reid, knew everything from what animals to watch for and why they lived there, which cactus was edible, what plants made good tea, the history and importance of flooding, etc. My husband was slightly stung by a wasp and Reid... Far Flung was an excellent decision for our 'one day float' down the Rio Grande in Terlingua! A fantastic day with expert guides! We were very lucky to have Erica as our Guide - a wealth of knowledge AND humor that just didn't quit! She is a seasoned Guide and traversed the river like a pro! Met some great people... More

We surely picked the best place to stay around Big Bend. Far Flung casitas were very close to the park and we could not have picked a better place to stay! Staff were awesome and the casitas modern with great attention to detail. We stayed in #9, which was wonderful. Great porches and fires outside each night- shared outdoor grills... More

For our fourth visit to Big Bend/Terlinguathis time to celebrate me and my wife's anniversary and take the kids on a family vacation we decided to set a reservation for river tour with Far Flung. We were not disappointed with this trip at all even though we wanted to do the Santa Elena Canyon. I guess the water was too... More

I floated the Rio Grande (overnight) and stayed at the Casitas on a work retreat. I can't recommend Far Flung enough. I've been a guide myself and I was extremely impressed with the Far Flung guides - professional and personable. Staying in the casitas was also great.
