The $30 per person tasting seems a little steep but you do get the glasses. We joked we paid $30 for wine glasses since the wine was disappointing. Warm patio on a August day.

Wine tasting at its best.
Aug 2021 • Friends
Hard to say what was my favorite part. The setting was so lovely and relaxing. And although we were there in August, the outside setting was quite comfortable. Because of COVID they were not serving lunch, but the charcuterie was the perfect complement to the wine tasting. A nice selection of reds, whites, or a mix (your choice) served by knowledgeable waitstaff. And, the gift shop had a nice selection of items.

Yum!

Make a reservation here and if they start having the wine tasting with food (tapas), choose that option! I like their Ranger wine the best.

Disappointing
Jul 2021
The wine tasting was a bit different than what I expected. You basically get two sips, if that. The wine tastings in Fredricksburg are a bit different than what I am used to and it seems like they sell/push memberships. I live too far away for that to be a viable option. The setting is nice, but not spectacular. You basically sit on a very hot patio with no fans, or misters, so not fun in the summer. I will say that I enjoyed the cheese board that we paid for. It had some good quality cheese and olives, etc.

Wine near Stonewall

A great spot for wine. Off 290 enough not to hear the highway. Great deal on bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Nice covered area with a nice view of the vineyard

Beautiful wine tasting visit
May 2021 • Couples
Reserved a pavilion tasting for a Sunday @12:45pm... this is the most scenic winery-vineyard we visited in the Fredericksburg area and hands down the best wine. Several bottles are making their way home with us. Excellent experience all around. Friendly and knowledgeable wine hostess, beautiful view and peaceful feel to the place. Just go!

Thank you! We appreciate that! Richard - and his late wife Bunny - Becker have always had the green thumb! Many of the flowering plants, antique roses, and foliage you see they planted. This inspired them to plant a vineyard.

Stingy pours in a beautiful setting
May 2021
I like Becker Vineyards wine and I frequently buy it at the liquor store or grocery store, but this week I made my first visit to the winery in Stonewall with some family. The hill country setting and gardens are beautiful, as are the facilities, but the $30/person price was outrageous for the tiny amount of wine we tried in the mixed white/red flight. I've been to quite a number of wineries in several states over the years, but this was the stingiest. With so many other wineries to try in the Texas Hill Country, I will not be returning, but I will still buy their wine from time to time.

Thank you for coming out to visit us! We pour 1 ounce size pours because of the beverage commission recommendation. The seated wine flight tasting is $30 + tax which includes 5 wine samples and the souvenir Riedel wine glass with our Becker Vineyards logo. The 6th sample is the complimentary sample of the day. We are sorry we disappointed you. Thank you for the feedback.

Wow tasting fee more than the price of a bottle of wine
Mar 2021 • Couples
Wow. Could not believe the new fee $30 +tax for the tasting of 5 different red(about a 1/2 glass total). A glass of wine is much cheaper. Only about 5 couples there.

Too many other wineries to enjoy.

Hello! The seated wine flight tasting is $30 + tax which includes 5 wine samples and the souvenir Riedel wine glass with our Becker Vineyards logo. The 6th sample is the complimentary sample of the day. We pour 1 oz size samples because of the beverage commission recommendation. Wine by the Glass is $15 each. A bottle of wine will be between $22 - $60 depending on which wine you choose. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Delightful Tasting
Mar 2021 • Couples
We have not ventured out much in pandemic times but this place figured it out. Reservations for tastings with well spaced tables outdoors. On a nice day, it is wonderful. We were surprised that the tasting fee didn’t give us a discount on our purchases but oh well. Good wines a d good times.

Relaxing
Mar 2021 • Couples
Great place to relax on the patio and drink a glass. We also enjoyed the cheese and meat board. Love that they kept the historic pieces everywhere. You do have to make a reservation to do a tasting. They are still very COVID rules, and in my opinion they need to start opening up a little more. Doing tours would be great right now if they could start that back up.
