Went in on a Saturday and of course it was busy which was to be expected. The guy serving was very rude and had no customer service. He literally poured our wine and walked away, never told us what it was or asked how we liked things. The view from here was amazing and had beautiful grounds but would not... More

I am sorry that you did not have a better experience. It would seem that we were understaffed when you came, and your server was too busy with other guests to give you the attention you deserved. I will bring it to the attention of our tasting room manager. Thank you for visiting. More

We stayed in Fredericksburg for two days to explore the Texas Winery scene. Our first stop was Pedernales Cellars and this beautiful property is definitely the gold standard for the area. We sampled the VIP Red Wine Tasting and were not disappointed. We visited on a Friday afternoon, which was comfortably crowded, but not packed. We were told that the... More

Thank you for visiting. I am glad you enjoyed the reserve tasting. Our staff loves to have a chance to talk to guests about our wines. For this reason it is preferable to visit during the week when it is less crowded. Please visit again. More

Pedernales Winery is one of my favorite wineries in Texas. Beautiful Large deck beneath large oak trees. Light bright and roomy tasting bar... But the WINES are what keep us coming back. Their GSM is an all time favorite. I believe it is $15 for a tasting of 5 wines. Dog friendly, well-mannered pooches welcome in the tasting room.

Thank you for your kind words. I also have a soft spot in my heart for the GSM. We do indeed welcome dogs...and even kids. We have a large lawn for them to run around in as long as they are under supervision. Our tasting fee at the main bar is $15, and usually it features 6 wines depending on... More

We really enjoyed our visit here. We stayed next door at Rose Hill and walked over. If traveling in the region, could be fun to come here first for a late-afternoon tasting and then get dinner at Rose Hill! We really enjoyed several of the wines, and found the staff knowledgable, friendly, and professional.

1st time to visit, very nice tasting room! We enjoyed the VIP RED wine tasting. Friendly staff, Kyle was very knowledgable about the wines & the family history. Nice shopping area, large beautiful patio, lots of shade, table & chairs available (some people had brought their own food to enjoy with their wine) comfortable outdoor furniture available if you just... We stopped by on the way to Fredericksburg, the service was terrible. We asked if we could do two tastings of dry reds, and the response was 'NO'. Then the older gentleman said we could do 1 tasting to "save money," really?? The issue was the tasting wines offered, not the price. A lady took over 1/2 way through and... More

Thank you for visiting our winery. We do have a fixed menu of wines in our tastings and also offer a reserve tasting. There are wineries in the area who offer a la carte tasting menus that are owned by friends of ours. I would be happy to offer recommendations. We appreciate the information about why you didn't enjoy your... More

We love drinking their wine! Drove all the way from Kansas City, KS just to buy more, since they can't ship to us.

We are/were wine club members. We stopped by to pick up our wine shipment and get one glass of wine. We were told that we had to go through the tastings of all sips of various wines and could not substitute that for just one glass of a wine we wanted. The one glass instead of a bunch of wines... Thank you for having been a wine club member with us. One of the benefits of being a wine club member with Pedernales Cellars is a complimentary tasting when visiting the tasting room. I am sorry to hear that you will not be stopping by to enjoy this benefit going forward. More

This was our first visit to Pedernales Cellars but it won't be our last. This winery is two miles off the US 290 stretch of wineries between Johnson City and Fredericksburg, but the turnoff is clearly marked and worth the few extra minutes. We visited on a Monday after lunch and walked right up to the tasting area. My husband... More

We made a quick stop at Pedernales because I had tried some of their wine at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, where they won Wine of the Year, and wanted to try others. I ended up with 2 bottles - one for me and one for the hubby, but their wines were quite expensive compared to other wineries in... More

Thanks for taking the time to stop in and visit. I am glad your family was able to enjoy the lawn. At our tasting room, we primarily feature our reserve and limited quantity wines, which are as a consequence more expensive. Do keep your eye out for our Texas Viognier, Texas Tempranillo, and the GSM at your local wine merchant.... More
