As compared with the other wineries we visited, there were no crowds at Woodrose. This meant we got a lot of personal attention and great service. The back patio is beautiful and surrounded with trees. We really enjoyed the wines and had a really nice time.

Stopped by to taste & buy something different on an annual wine run from KC. Sampled 2 flights & both were not we'll on our taste buds. This could be one to skip till it gets much better. The pup was the highlight of our visit.

I've been here twice as part of the wino tour- and I would not recommend. The whites are definitely the better wines, avoid the rose at all costs- they should be ashamed for serving it, it really does taste like vinegar. I actually approached one of the waitstaff when I first tried it, thinking it was corked- but they just... More

I visited this sub-par destination on a wine tour (texas winos- they're great), but sadly the tour fell devastatingly short on behalf of this sad little "winery." The customer service, poorly dealt by an immature, woman-child (teenager serving wine? An adult who doesn't care enough about herself to look like an adult??) was inferior to even the worst of experiences.... More

This was our first stop on our winery tour and it was beyond awful. While the tasting room is clean, it lacks all character. Rather than standing at the bar like most of the other wineries in the area, they make you sit at a table and they bring the wines to you. This really takes away from the experience... More

During our recent visit we decided to visit the winery's. There are so many that you have to be selective of the number you visit. This winery is small and unassuming. The small wine tasting area was clean and inviting. This is the only winery that decides your tasting options by putting their personal selections in labeled quadrants. Also, the... More

My husband and I made this our first stop on our trip to Fredericksburg. Loved this winery! It ended up being a beautiful day so we did a wine tasting on the patio out back. It was very relaxed and beautiful. The dogs walking around made it feel even more cozy and family-oriented. We bought a bottle of the sweet... More

There are a ton of wineries off Highway 290 to choose from. Woodrose has good wine and a great patio - a large wooden deck out back with a view of a wooded area. Of all the wineries in the area, this one has a really nice outdoor area if you want to skip past all the tour buses of... More
