I love the bluebonnets. I have gotten my pictures taken in the bluebonnets here before. This is a great location to get your pictures made in the bluebonnets.

Mule Shoe has always been a great camping spot. March 2016 had a bumper crop of Blue Bonnett flowers I have never seen as a native Texan. That field is under water, so if that's what your expecting save the trip. Go to camp.

We just drove through the park hoping to see the fields of bluebonnets that are pictured on the website. There weren't any, but it's a beautiful & relaxing place with nice camping spots right on the lake. Would love to go back to camp.
