Mule Shoe has always been a great camping spot. March 2016 had a bumper crop of Blue Bonnett flowers I have never seen as a native Texan. That field is under water, so if that's what your expecting save the trip. Go to camp.

We just drove through the park hoping to see the fields of bluebonnets that are pictured on the website. There weren't any, but it's a beautiful & relaxing place with nice camping spots right on the lake. Would love to go back to camp.

Fantastic park that is overlooked. GREAT Camping areas and lake access. Bike and Hike trails along with Boat Ramp if you have water toys. Private and quiet unlike Paleface.

The BEST place to see Texas Bluebonnets! Giant swaths of them all on the flats area. Please be considerate and do not drive and trample all over them! Walk out take your photos and leave as little a trace as possible!

Had a nice time camping at Turner Road campground. Very quiet. Warm water in the lake, very few mosquitos, clean toilet at the campground and nice park employees I dealt with. Would defiantly come back. $10 night camp beat the price

Really nice-sized park with clean facilities and good trails. All about an hour from town. Recommended for large groups and families.

We visited Mule Shoe Bend in 2014 and 2015 to see the spectacular bluebonnets. We came again on April 2, 2016 to see how different it was after all the rain over the past year. In 2014 and 2015, you could drive through the acres...More

Read the reviews, so we came for bluebonnets! There are nice patches of bluebonnets, but they're not all fully blooming yet! Beautiful place, nonetheless!!! The very nice gentleman at the gate didn't charge us because we were there roughly under an hour!

This was our 1st visit to Mulshoe Bend. We drove from Houston to this place because of the reviews (mostly from last year) about the endless bluebonnet fields. We saw some incredible pictures as well. Unfortunately we did not find the endless fields or the...More

Drove through here to check out the bluebonnets as I've heard the legends of swathes of bluebonnets existing here. I was a week or two early but, there were still a few out. I plan to go back. The kind gentleman at the visitor center...More
