A Christmas gift from nephew and family gave us an opportunity to enjoy a great experience at Red Door Escape Room. We chose the Prison Escape room and it was very cool. We had 8 people which was just right. One more person would have been awfully crowded. We are 13-63 and each were able to contribute to the success of our team escaping with 9 minutes to spare. Our escape room "handler" Alex did an excellent job with hints, giving us plenty of time to figure things out on our own but knowing when we were "getting colder". Great time!!

We had an awesome time at Red Door Escape Room! We played "Once Upon a Time" with Sarah (always with an 'H' the right way!) as our game master. It was truly a magical experience for our group. This is perfect for family or friends. We have also gone to Red Door Escape Rooms for work activities and find them super advantageous for team building! We have played multiple episodes across the 3 Red Door Escape Room locations in the DFW Metro (each has different games.... how cool is that!?!?) and have never been disappointed in the quality of game or level of service we received. Thank you Sarah and Red Door Escape Room for making our family get together one to remember!

I will say that this Escape Room business is pretty cool. We did The Gift not knowing much about escape ratios or hardness level. The room itself was a lot of fun, however, in order to escape, you would have to be borderline genius which unfortunately no one in our group was. My advice is to only do this one if you think you are at genius level, or pick an easier room. Entrapment was easier and a lot of fun.

We were so close to winning and we had a great time trying to get out of Taken! We as a whole feel as though we were robbed. I rate this a 3 out of 5 because our Game Master lacked on giving us clues. It seemed almost as if she wasn’t paying attention to what we were actually doing in the room. Either giving us a clue we had already completed or taking AT LEAST 30 seconds to type up a clue while our timer was counting down. Towards the end we asked for a few more clues and spent about 3 minutes on a broken clue, unable to see the numbers and our timer on the safe was activated because the wrong code was given to us. After a comment was made about wasting our time, she added just one minute. This was paid gift to us while celebrating a family member being in town. If we had paid personally for this experience, I would’ve rated it lower. Considering how close we were to escaping, (they weren’t busy- the only team there, even showed up early) and how much time it took to receive our clues, we definitely would’ve escaped. Great Company… but once again not impressed with our Game Master. Wish we could get a redo!

Well... I typically don't like to give companies bad reviews, but I've even emailed corporate and have heard nothing. So TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I've done 3 different rooms at this company now and all 3 times, something has gone wrong. They have the potential of being a really great company, but this location in particular just seems to not care. The first time doing Entrapment, one of the locks never got reset and we skipped a whole part of the room. Also, one of the puzzles was broken and couldn't be used, which we felt like we should have been informed about before starting. The game maker then proceeded to act like he wasn't aware that all of this happened. I understand human error, but dishonesty doesn't fly with me. Especially when we finished with a lot of time left and talked about it several times at the end of the game. (P.s. they can hear and see you, there is no way they didn't know unless not doing their job, which is another problem) Second game, Taken, one of the puzzles in the room wasn't working. Our team messed with this for about 4-5 minutes to then have to have our game interrupted so they could replace it. For all the time we waited for them to get the room ready, shouldn't this have been checked? The game maker was very apologetic and added more time for the time lost. I did appreciate that. The third, Once Upon A Time, we set a puzzle to the numbers we found to release something and it clicked like it unlocked, but wouldn't come out. Again, our game had to be interrupted and the game maker had to come inside and help us get this piece unlocked. We had to try it 3 times before it came out. Also, the monitor didn't come on for probably the first 5 minutes and our clue button didn't work so we had to wave our hands around when we wanted one. Sigh...This is so unfortunate because we were really looking forward to playing all the rooms, but won't be going back. There are a lot better escape room companies around. Trust me, I've done 11 different rooms with different companies so far and this has been the worst experience. Do not WASTE your money here.

Had a great time at the escape room along with 5 friends. The clues were tricky and the answers and methods to getting these answers were very clever. Had a great time, and we didn't even make it out of the room.

We signed up for the Prison Break experience and showed up at our scheduled time of 1:30pm. After standing around and waiting for 30 minutes without any feedback from the manager, I expressed my displeasure that we were unhappy to be kept waiting so long. At which time the manager asked us to please continue to be patient as they were trying to fix on of the key components of the experience. This would have been nice to know when we arrived. The manager then went to the control room and came back 2 minutes later to let us know that they would not be able to fix the problem and he offered me a refund. I asked if there were any other adventures that we could do since we had already paid and I had all of my family together at the same time (which is not easy to arrange). He said that we would upset the queue of others who have already paid. So he gave me my refund. He didn't offer us 50% off of our next adventure for the inconvenience or anything. We left there terribly disappointed that we were not able to partake in our Escape Room adventure and that the customer service was so amazingly poor. As for me and my family, we will never return.

This place was so much fun! I went in a group of 8 which was a good amount of people. We did the "Once Upon a Time" room and escaped with 4 minutes to spare. It was challenging but very rewarding. I definitely recommend and can't wait to come back to try out the rest of the rooms!!

I will start by saying my wife and I have been to many different escape rooms in Dallas, Phoenix and LA. This is one of the best around! We have been back 4 different times with different groups. We have escaped 3 out of 4 times. The production value, themes and stories are top notch.
The hardest one we did was taken. I would rank that one a 9/10 for difficult. That was really tough. You need really good team work there since you start in different rooms. My suggestion there would be if you are are playing with people you don't know split the group up so you know someone in the other room.
We took our kids to Once upon a time and they loved it. The clues were a little easier but it was a really cool story and rooms. I would rate this one 4/10 for difficultly.
Confinement was a pretty scare type one. I don't recommend this for children or people that don't like haunted houses. This is the first one we did here and we loved it. Great Story and flow to this one. I would say this is 8/10 for difficulty.
When we are back in town we will either try Prison Break or the new one, the gift. This place is a lot of fun if you have a group or you can go and join someone else group. The experience here is very rewarding and worth the price.

Hi! My husband, 14 year old son, and I are considering doing this on our trip to Southlake in a couple of weeks - likely the evening of August 9th. How is the price calculated, do we make a reservation for a specific episode/time or are there already times allocated to different episodes each evening? Sorry. I threw a lot at you. Read the other questions but didn't see an answer to these.

Just go to their website and you’ll be able to choose from available timings. The earlier you check, the better. They say you can end up with others in your group, which didn’t appeal to me, but if you have enough they shouldn’t do that (4 is probably safe).

I have a group of 33 how can j make that work it's team building
Written August 5, 2016
I believe there is one in Southlake that they split you up and your are all trying for the same goal but split up, can't remember the name but it looked cool!

Is it 175$ per person or is that for all several people? They're closed today so i couldnt call and ask
Written May 23, 2016
That would be the rate for the whole group. It is between 25 and 30 per person.

Hi there...I have a bit of anxiety but want to try this out so bad! Can you tell me if it might be too much for one to handle with anxiety. Are the rooms way small? Is there enough room for 7 individuals to actually be comfortable while figuring things out? It's not like a confined closet, right? Sorry for all of the questions but I really want to go but want to have an idea of what to expect with the room size. Thank you for your help with this.

Hi Gina,
These are some great questions. Our rooms vary in size, but generally fit around 7 people comfortably. It can probably be compared to a bedroom in an average home, and there is typically a series of rooms that you will make your way through. Also, our rooms are equipped with "panic" buttons next to the entrance door so that you can leave at any point for any reason and re-enter the game when you are ready. Besides CONFINEMENT, our escape episodes are family friendly and even kids enjoy playing. Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
