IT WAS AMAZING! We trained in the river and I learned many things some about myself and the type of kayak I preferred. Ben and his staff are amazing and helpful, we have already made plans to return.

This trip is a tremendous value. For only $30 you get free river-front parking, bus transportation up-river, boat, lifevest, instruction, guided tour, and local insights. You also have the opportunity to stay and play in the water at the finish for free, including rope swing, regular swing, zip line, tree house, and picnic tables, all in the shade. Despite the very hot weather, it was cool and mostly shady traveling down the river so it never felt hot. The water temperature was perfect and cool as well for swimming. Our guide was friendly, helpful, patient, informative, and passionate about paddling the river. Starting location is easy to find and right by the interstate. Proceeds go to a worthy charity so consider giving an additional donation at the end if you are pleased with your experience - and you certainly will be! (Look for it under Air Bnb experiences for San Marcos, TX)

If it wasn't for Groupon I would have never known about this place, and I attended Texas State! Outdoor cabanas are available in numerous shaded areas right on the San Marcos River. A charcoal grill and picnic table are provided. There is a tree swing, Zipline, water slide, kayak and SUP rentals. Best all day with family we've had in awhile!

Nothing fancy. Caban’s are academy beach tents with picnic tables in each. Grills are tiny. “Tarzan” Rope was too short to swing on. Slide is bolted to a picnic table. Zip line is taped to a tree. Canoe rentals are $15/hr. No guided tours offered. Bought from Groupon and the original price was 190 but was marked down (for up to ten people) for $46.50. Honestly, it’s maybe worth $20. Didn’t have a terrible time, but definitely not what we expected. We drove and hour and a half for something we could have done here (Belton, TX) for free. This is the first time I’ve gotten from Groupon and was generally let down by the reviews. If you’re wanting and average place with an average time it’s not bad, but the advertising is overshot. Redneck engineering is strong here. Bathroom needs updated as well.

Clear, clean, great family vacation. Buy your own tubes and float the river free. Buy from Lions Club shop on sight. Prices are great and proceeds help those in need. Best free family entertainment.
