We really had our hopes up, after hearing for years from friends about the Chicken Farm Art Center. I have a feeling that its heyday has passed. We expected much more original art with higher levels of craftsmanship - some was good, but a lot...More

Mrs. Rosie Horn has a small stand near the entrance and sells delightful cigar box guitars she made herself. She's one of maybe a hundred art and craft stands open on the first Saturday of each month. As you stole and buy you'll be entertained...More

A real plethora of art, jewelry and more. First Saturday has a lot of great artisans. Found some great stuff. Fair Trade jewelry was particularly nice to find.

This place is unexpected, to be sure--a conglomeration of artists' studios mixed in with places to stop and grab a bite. We did a lot of ceramics shopping the day I was there, then grabbed lunch at the Silo House Restaurant--which was excellent French food.

We were fortunate enough to go on the first Saturday of the month. Recommend getting there at 10am for close parking. About 15 outside booths with artists and eclectic people and 5-7 indoor artist spaces. Jewelry, birdhouses, light catchers, blacksmithing, Native American jewelry, natural soaps,...More

Sorry we missed you, our business hours are Tuesday - Saturday 9:30am - 5:00pm for our main gallery and pottery studio. The best time to visit The Chicken Farm would be on Saturdays; especially the first Saturday of the month. Most of our studio artists...More

The day we visited it was pouring down rain, so we didn't spend as much time as we would have otherwise. There were a variety of little shops to choose from that were all in walking distance from the parking lot. There is a pottery...More
