What a fun quirky place to visit. I will go again the next time I'm in San Angelo. Watch artists at work, enjoy a meal, shop. This was an unexpected treasure!

Not all of the art studios were open when we went. I didn't know that most of the art was for sale so that was nice.

We always find the funky places, the unique place and the most interesting places to stay when we visit a town. Being travel writers and photographers, we forget the chains and stay where we can get up close and personal, meet and visit with owners and be relaxed and enjoy our stay. The Inn at the Chicken Farm Art Center fits all our needs and wants. From the 15 artist studios on the property to the amazing Silo Restaurant to the comfortable and unique rooms, we find it all here and come back for more. Very clean, friendly owners who even deliver fresh baked muffins each morning and great atmosphere. You won't want to miss this one!…

Where do I begin? This place is so cool and amazing, and has something for everyone. It was started as a place for artisans of all kinds to come and practice their craft, along with create a community where artists of all kinds could open their own little shops and sell their wares, while getting inspiration from those around them. There are potters, jewelry makers, painters, people who sew, candles, crystals, homemade breads and jams, and an awesome upscale restaurant that will also make pulled pork sandwiches on First Sturdays! The first Saturday of every month is so very special. In addition to the awesome shopping, they have live music in the center court by local musicians who create a picking circle and just belt out the music and tunes. There are seats and tables and even bleacher seats. We had an amazing time, and spent way more than intended, but have absolutely NO BUYER's REMORSE! LOL…

The pottery and different art items at the Chicken Farm are wonderful to look at. I took my granddaughters, ages 5 and 7. They enjoyed it very much.
