This is a small but very nice museum. The exhibits change on a regular basis and each time they are beautiful with a coastal theme--just what you want to see when visiting Rockport. The atmosphere is peaceful and it's free! Definitely worth a stop any time you are in town.

It is that time of the year for July 4th Arts Festive!!!! There will be over 100 artists at the fest. Original Art with a few limited edition prints. It's a great event to attend.

My husband and I went to Rockport Art Center. There were some pretty paintings and interesting sculptures for sale but the prices were quite high. We spent 7 minutes inside. There are some beautiful sculptures outside, perfect for taking pictures. The Art Center is in the same area as the Bay Education Center, Rockport Beach and the Aquarium.

We happened upon the Art Center while coming back from the Aquarium. It is pretty good for a small town art center. I enjoyed the bronze animal statues on the lawn the best. Inside the style is more modern art. They had some nice local pieces for sale. It's free to visit and you should if you enjoy local art.

I have attended many of their artist presentations and many of their monthly/quarterly showings. The staff is always very helpful and the artist quality outstanding. If you appreciate art do not miss this fine facility. Additionally I have taken various art course offered by guest artists in many forms of painting. Other venues are also offered.

Rockport's Art Center displays local artists' paintings, sculptures, etc. and rotate them out fairly often. I found it to be a nice little free art center.

Our little community is so blessed to have such a wonderful venue for our local artist to display their work. You will find work by local (unknown) artists, as well as famous artist that are revered internationally! The volunteer staff for the Rockport Art Center is always so welcoming and friendly. The Rockport Art Center is free, and business hours... More

It is a locals art center supporting local artists. The art displayed is very good. They have classes and programs if you are in town for several days. It is a good place to get the flavor of local artists. Reminded me sort of a Guild.

Have been to the museum three times and enjoy their art. They offer some workshops for people who plan to stay longer and I will be attending one in the fall. This is always on my "to visit" list when I'm in Rockport. Seems like a vital art community and suggest you get on their mailing list if you are... More

While in the area for a visit we decided to stop in and look about. There was a showing of a few artists work, we were greeted warmly at the door. The gallery is very nicely designed and understated to keep the focus on the displayed art. I appreciated that effort. It would have been so easy to overdue and... More
