Featuring local artists, the Rockport Center for the Arts is always a part of the Rockport Spring Tour of Homes. This self guided tour has volunteer docents who describe the architectural and design features of each home.

We went to the Art Center reception that introduces the recognized local artists and the chosen art festival banner artist. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The appetizers were delicious and the featured artists were all on hand to answer questions about their art and sell chosen pieces. It is so good to see the art colony is still going strong... More

Rockport has changed a lot, but you still can visit the very good Rockport Art Center. Good space with fine exhibitions.

This is a small but very nice museum. The exhibits change on a regular basis and each time they are beautiful with a coastal theme--just what you want to see when visiting Rockport. The atmosphere is peaceful and it's free! Definitely worth a stop any time you are in town.

It is that time of the year for July 4th Arts Festive!!!! There will be over 100 artists at the fest. Original Art with a few limited edition prints. It's a great event to attend.

My husband and I went to Rockport Art Center. There were some pretty paintings and interesting sculptures for sale but the prices were quite high. We spent 7 minutes inside. There are some beautiful sculptures outside, perfect for taking pictures. The Art Center is in the same area as the Bay Education Center, Rockport Beach and the Aquarium.

We happened upon the Art Center while coming back from the Aquarium. It is pretty good for a small town art center. I enjoyed the bronze animal statues on the lawn the best. Inside the style is more modern art. They had some nice local pieces for sale. It's free to visit and you should if you enjoy local art.

I have attended many of their artist presentations and many of their monthly/quarterly showings. The staff is always very helpful and the artist quality outstanding. If you appreciate art do not miss this fine facility. Additionally I have taken various art course offered by guest artists in many forms of painting. Other venues are also offered.
