Nice Quiet family Beach

Clean by beach standards. Park in the parking lot at the entrance and walk in for free. Nice tables in the shade for picnicking. Lot's of shallow water to swim and play in.

One night on NatGeo, the program was about all the hummingbirds in Rockport, Texas in September as they gather for the migration to Mexico and Central America. My husband and I just had to attend. What a sight to see all the feeders out in the yards of home that have opened the yards to the public for OUR viewing.... More

Beach is clean but the sand is more like playground sand, maybe trucked in? Water is full of sea grass. Not sure why it's called s blue wave beach. Showers out of order. $5 a day to enter.

This trip was disappointing as there was a lot of seaweed but it is easy to walk and would be nice for small children.

Got here early and was able to get a palapa. Not crowded at all and easy access from the car. Only downside were the jellyfish- you really have to look out for them. Water is murky near coast but better once you walk out- you can walk for miles on the sugar soft sand. All in all quite enjoyable .

Nice quiet and well kept beach. Easy parking and not at all busy considering the timing of our visit.

This is a great beach for the family, from its easy access to its family friendly beach and water. The waves are generally small and the water shallow in close to the beach. The city keeps the area clean.

The beach is well kept, only in the evening I saw some bottles and trash left by rude people. The sand is not the finest and it is hard to the touch, with tiny pebbles, very similar to river sand. Next time I will remember to bring some chairs. The water was warm, green, and cloudy, typical of a lagoon.... More
