Relaxing day on the beach

The palapas on the beach provided much-needed shade. Public Restrooms were fairly clean. The water was refreshing on a hot day.

Is a very nice beach, absolute, the only one in Rockport. You have to pay $5 to get in. The beach is clean. The only thing I do not like is that you can NOT take your dog there. In sumer months is very crowdy but from fall is quiet. The next close beach will be in Mustang Island (Port... More

You can actually see your feet in the water! The water doesn't get very deep due to sand bars. We finally got in up to chest level, but felt like we walked a mile out. Over all great beach. Clean. Not crowded. Soft sand. Found a few shells. They do have restrooms with showers. A boat launch on the bay... More

Went in June 2016 had was excited to get into a cool water beach but walked in a pee bath. The beaches were filthy. Nice area, a little run down. Don't go to that beach. I wanted to visit corpes cristi but decided to go to the beach. My guess is that Texas has the dirtiest beaches in the USA.

This is my favorite place to walk. I get there early and enjoy the seabreeze. If you don't want to pay the entry fee, you can park at the entrance. No traffic, no dogs just you the birds.

Although the weather was rather gray during our recent visit to Rockport, we had to go to the beach. It is a ritual of sorts with each of the 5 or so visits we make each year. Our kids are older now, but this beach has been exactly what they needed and enjoyed ever since their toddler days. After its... More
