Very good for families with toddlers. Beach level is low for at least 100m from the shore. Water was warm, with a stale smell that remained on our swimming gear and hand for a while after leaving.

This is a nice little beach area that was created by the city of Rockport. There are scattered cabanas along the sandy beach and covered picnic tables between parking and beach access. There are also a couple of playscapes in the grassy area by the picnic tables. As typical in sandy areas, there are sandburrs in the grass, so I... More

Great beach that is well maintained. The water is really shallow with the occasional jelly fish but fun for small kids and family. Good place to relax and read a book and enjoy the scenery. It's best to get the annual pass vs the day pass.

This beach is very close to a house that we rent in Rockport. The beach is very clean and well-kept. It is quite shallow making it so nice for young families with children. You can literally walk out for several hundred yards before it gets thigh high or deeper. There are not many waves so the older children aren't as... More

Both my teen and I were stung by what I can only assume was jellyfish. Burning up the legs. Stinging for too long. Just glad the 3 yr old didn't get stung. But they love the playground there and I like that the waves on the beach side are more subtle than Port A. Very crowded on weekend. Plus 3rd... More

Beautiful beach! We've been to many beaches along the coast and this is our favorite so far. It wasn't packed full of people (we came on a Monday), it was quiet, the water was warm and we even saw Dolphins swimming by the pier. Very clean compared to others.

This beach was very crowded during spring break, to be expected. But there was available space across the street in the bay side where you can throw in a line with chicken on the end and pull out blue crab! Restrooms/showers are available to the public. Convenience stores are within walking distance, as well as island restaurants.

We enjoyed this beach very much, our 2 boys ages 5 And 2 had a great time. I even saw teenagers having fun. The beach has very shallow water, you have to walk very far if you want to go t0 a deeper area but having small children will probably keep you from getting that far. The water is very... More

The Rockport beach is a great beach for families with small children because of how shallow the water is and because there are bathrooms, picnic tables, a playscape, and food trucks on the weekends. There was also ample parking, even on a Saturday. We visited this morning and found that the sand had been groomed and was ready for kids... More
