This is a very kid friendly beach on Matagorda Bay. It has recently had sand added to it to give a larger area to set up your chairs, umbrellas, etc. The water is only a few inches deep near shore and maybe waist high 100...More

Not too crowded especially for a tiny beachfront. A nice handful of vendors for the 4th of July display. A well kept, clean neighborhood on the beach. The fireworks, eh, not so special. Very delayed on starting and too much time between each mortar. The...More

Not a place to be barefoot. Debri from hurricane Harvey was still present and not so pretty. Palm trees needs trimmig.Still a calm, quiet place to just lay out on a lounge recliner absorbing the rays.

This is at the end of the main road through the town and is a clean swath of shore, with a covered pavilion and some parking spaces. Very clean. It looks like an outdoors city park for community events, but not particularly spectacular nor attractive.

We went out to Port O'Connor to visit a very close friend of ours. It is absolutely beautiful out there. I love the beach homes, especially the ones closest to the shore they have old lookouts built into them. This place was full of life...More
