Virginia’s advertises a $55 massage for 60 minutes. We thought that was a great deal so we scheduled a couples massage. My husband and I were brought to different rooms (not a big deal). He received a 50 minute massage and I received a 47 minute massage. The massages were good but the time was disappointing. Be sure to clarify up front how long your massage will be and whether or not you will be in the same room.

South Padre Island!! I was on my birthday vacation with my cousin Kimmy; all she could talk about was massage, massage, massage!! Then we saw it: "SALE! Swedish massage $55 we immediately parked and went in to visit. Everyone was amazingly welcoming, and so friendly. We made our appt. for the next day. OMG my Swedish massage was so effective, I think I went to sleep lol! So relaxing, and the fragrance of the oils just added to the overall experience. My whole body was all wobbly, relaxed ... You deserve to be pampered! You have got to go see these ladies!! They are the BEST! Thank you Ladies!! Fay from Atlanta GA, Caren from Syracuse New York

My husband and I were on vacation in October and decided to get a Swedish massage. We called Virginia’s Spa and made and appointment for that afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Wow! This turned out to be one of the greatest things we did for ourselves that trip. We filled out a form and two sweet young women took us to a room with soft music and low lights. Their hands were like magic. I felt all tension and stress fade away. It was the best hour and use of our money on the trip.

If you are looking for a message I highly recommend you look no we’re but to Virginia ‘s. They truly have the very best hands in the business!!!

We called ahead to see if they had openings for 2 pedicures. I was taking my husband to his first pedicure; he was most excited about the foot/lower leg massage. They said if we came right then, they could get us in and when we got there, they said they were about to leave but our call made them stay. Not a great sign, already. The actual tubs for the pedicures appeared pretty old and the jets in them didn't work properly, so it felt just like sitting your feet in lukewarm water. The lady doing my husband's feet seemed in a hurry and spent very little time on the massage. She got done about 1/2 an hour before my lady. The lady doing my feet was watching Vampire Diaries on tv the whole time and paused to push "next" on Netflix at the end of every episode. This caused her to spend a little longer on my feet, especially since my nail polish kept getting nicked and messed up and she had to redo them several times. In the middle of doing my toes, the owner asked my lady if she could do a facial on a guy who had just walked in and she said she had a long time left on my feet and they talked back and forth about that for a while. In other words, we didn't feel welcome or appreciated/focused on as customers. We felt more like we were getting in their way of going home more quickly. Not to mention, they charged us $35 each for the pedicures. It's our fault for not asking the price beforehand, but this is pricy considering the poor service. There are other nail places in town or nearby that charge $25. I suggest going to them. On the bright side, the nail techs were friendly enough and gave us some good suggestions for local places to visit, but overall, I was pretty disappointed for my husband that this was his first pedicure experience.

Two happy and satisfied visits to Virginia's. Lydia gave me a color touch up, she was delightful and took care of coloring, blow drying and styling my hair. The next day I returned for a deep tissue massage with Cecilla. This little woman is dynamic and has the strongest hands that gave a wonderful massage. Every part of my body was treated by her caring hands, continually adding cream and oil to my dry skin. I am so happy to say I am returning this week for another massage. By the way, everyone in this salon greeted you as you came in or said hello as they walked by.

My husband and I visited Virginia's last week during our honeymoon in South Padre Island. We both go pedicures and I was to get acrylics done on my nails. The salon it's self is very nice. there are different little rooms for each of the services they offer. The pedicures we nice and comparable to what I have gotten back home. However, the "manicure" I received was well below any kind of manicure I have ever gotten. First, I was questioned and talked out of essentially talked out of getting tips with the acrylic nails except on one finger where I had complete broke the nail. All that was done for my nails was the actual putting on of the acrylic on my actual nails and then the nail polish was applied. There was no time spent under a heat light to help the acrylic set and definitely no time under a fan to dry the polish so I walked out with completely wet nails that never died right and are already chips and dinged up. The acrylic on my nails has already began to chip away and one nail has chipped completely off!!! Thankfully we are back home now so I can go and get this hack job fixed!!! I have never had this terrible of a job done on my nails and have had acrylics done many times over the years. I would never recommend this salon!

I've had my hair cut (3 occasions) and colored, and a manicure and pedicure done here, I loved my color and haircuts. The mani and pedi's were very relaxing and left me feeling beautiful and energized.

Best stylist in the RGV! My daughter lives in PI & recently got married on South Padre Island, so on the recommendation of my stylist, in the Austin area where I live, I contacted Patricia at Virginia's to get my hair done for the wedding. I could not have been in better hands! Made my appointment easily, showed up for a quick consultation a few days before, the salon is located right off the main street before the bridge across to the island & is a beautiful salon! Everything you could need done is available there from massages, to make-up, to hair, & even nails. This lady knows what to do & how to do it! My hair was beautiful, glamorous, classically timeless, and most of all that hair style survived the humidity down there! If you are ever in the area and need to go to a salon you would be crazy if this is not the spot you go to! I know for certain should I be there for a visit and need any services that they offer Virginia's will be the only place I call!
*** Bonus attraction: I received a lovely account of the history of Port Isabel while enjoying the pampering!
