This is a good bird site and coming back frequently probably lends itself to some good variety of birds. It's fairly small though and right next to a water treatment plant. If there are any people when you visit there, you probably wont see much...More

We have visited many times but this was our first opportunity to see American Coot chicks and Gallinules chicks. They are cute!! We visited around 5:30 p.m.

My only issue with this place was the wide expanse of oil rigs and industry feel at the entrance as well as in the distance. Besides that, this is an excellent place to view the salt marsh and animals in it. It is free, too.

Port A. has provided several excellent locations for birding and this is one of the best! Boardwalks, viewing tower, and walkways take right among the marshes and trees and provides great birding opportunities!

Not a huge place but very pleasant walk and excellent birding site. We didn't see any of the resident alligators this visit but did see a variety of water fowl.

Was a nice stroll. Not real long, but we saw several very interesting birds and alligators. It was amazing how many different birds are in that one area.

Very nice boardwalk stretching pretty far into the habitat. Saw a few different shore birds, fish, and crabs. Convenient location near the ferry.

NO dogs, please. Not at this small locale. Birders are trying to see lifetime listers; you will be ousted. Follow other directions above for dog care. Mustang Island dogs okay.
