My family of four had an excellent Sunset tour. We requested Capt. Moon to use the Bay Boat but he also has Tiki Boats available. Dolphins would pop up right next to the boat, we saw a large section of Aransas Pass, Corpus Christ Bay, Bird Island, the lighthouse and much more. Captain Moon has tremendous knowledge of the waters in and around Port Aransas and great stories about the history of Port Aransas. It is a wonderful place made more wonderful by Capt. Moon.

My family of 4 went on a 3 hour scenic tour with Port A Bay Charters and had a great time. We saw tons of dolphin, sting ray and birds. We stopped at an island to go searching for shells and came back with a bucket load of large ones. We also saw the lighthouse, shipwrecks and beautiful homes.
Captain Moon was informative and personable. He was really great with our two kids, ages 8 and 10.
The scenic tour is great for family. Next time, we'll try a fishing trip!

Took my family of 5 on a boat tour of the area. Captain was fantastic. Great knowledge of the area. Did a great job of keeping everyone engaged. Saw a few dolphins and other sea life. Highly recommend.

If you are looking to book and eight hour bay fishing trip with guide Moon Shelton of Port A Bay Charters for 2 adults, a 13 and 7 year old at $650 be prepared at the possibility that your trip with be handed over to another guide LAST MINUTE. Could I have cancelled…..well considering it was my husband’s birthday and we had already spent nearly four hundred dollars in hotel costs, it really wasn’t feasible since we had traveled 2 1/2 hours the day before to Port Aransas. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE CONSIDERING THE SUBSTITUTE GUIDE WAS NOT EVEN RECOMMENDED ON THE PORT ARANSAS FISHING GUIDE DIRECTORY. It sucks when you actually take the time to research credible fishing guides and then this s@$t happens. Nonetheless my trip was turned over to Steven’s Guide Service (Steven Simanek). WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! I WILL NEVER ENTERTAIN BAY FISHING AGAIN!! For an eight hour trip we caught three red fish (only two were keepers), two or three catfish (no keepers) and a dog fish. OUR TRIP WAS CUT SHORT 1 ½ HOURS!! You would think Steven would have offered a refund since we only fished from 10:00am to 4:30pm (6 ½ HOURS) AND ONLY BROUGHT IN TWO RED FISH (yeah, that’s what I said TWO red fish on an eight hour trip) but NOPE, NOTHING, NADA!!! As soon as I got off the boat I contacted Mr. Moon Shelton and advised him of my two catches and my 6 ½ hour trip. He replied “it was a tough day out there.”

Started the day off fishing with Capt Moon and my son. Capt Moon was very knowledgeable and was a great fishing guide. After lunch we took the rest of the family out for a tour and to see the dolphins. My kids had a blast. Capt Moon was good with all the kids ranging from 6-16 years old. During the tour we saw a turtles, dolphins, ship wrecks, lighthouse, fed the birds shrimp, rode along side the dolphins as they chased the ships and much more. He even stopped on a beach so everyone could get some seashells.
Thanks for a fun filled day Captain and giving my Colorado kids some great memories.

Had an awesome trip with Captain Moon today. This is by far the best guide service I've ever used throughout the U.S. Fishing was a little tougher(rain, fog, wind and cold temps.) but Captain Moon worked hard to get me my limit. I would highly recommend him to anyone, including families. To top the day off, Captain Moon introduced me to the best cheeseburger south of the Mason-Dixon line! I will definitely be back year after year!

This bay fishing was my family's first every boat fishing. Captain Moon fully satisfied our expectations. He took us to the right spot and did his best to help us catch red drums. Moon entertained us as well as delivered all fishing needs we had. We caught five big red drums and my children were nothing but happy at the end. We will come again to experience this wonderful day with Captain Moon.

We arrive at the marina at 7AM and Capt Moon was ready to go. All we had to do was throw our drinks & snacks in his cooler. After a short boat ride Capt Moon put us on the fish right away. Our boat caught the limit of black drum in a hour. If you plan on going fishing in Port A I highly recommend Capt Moon!

We started out around 7am on our 5 hour trip. We didn't catch a thing at our first stop and Captain Moon wasted no time in getting us to another spot where we started landing good sized drum every few casts. Captain Moon takes care of everything...not only baits your hook for you, but will cast it for you if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself. Break a hook off? No problem...he quickly gets your rig ready to fish again. On top of all that, he's entertaining and knows other fishermen out there that he communicates with often to see where they are biting.
An amazing time with a great guide. We'll definitely be calling on Captain Moon for our next trip.

Captain Moon took several of us out fishing. He is both very entertaining to be around as well as a very knowledgeable guide. He took us to several spots and we all caught our limit on redfish. Everyone had a blast on the trip!

Can it be just a two hour or so ride with 9 people, some very senior? maybe with some cold drinks and appetizers? July 29 or 30th evening cruise? If so rate?
