I didn't quite know what to expect as I have driven past this place for many, many years but never stopped--always thought it looked like a dive. But curiosity got the best of me, and we went. I really enjoyed it and was impressed by the number of animals on exhibit! I had no idea there were SO many different... More

The giant signs always made me want to stop on our long-drive to see family. Finally we did - it was about as expected. The hyena stalked our toddler son, wanting to eat him. That was great.

What an eye opener....snakes from the world over and we'll displayed . Outside displays just as great with expanding habitat. Lions, hyenas, wolves , monkeys and capaberas . They have a collection of the ten deadliest snakes in the world ,including Cobras, russelsvipers, and taipans.

Has lots of cool animals as well as snakes. Although the animals seem to be healthy some of the place needs a little work.

I enjoy traveling to and exploring smaller zoos but this one really can leave you depressed even though some improvements are being made to the facility. The primate enclosures are still old school and alarming in their smallness. The petting zoo is good. They should just eliminate the grassless hoofstock area and make larger primate enclosures. The lions are in... More

Great for kids who like animals and snakes. In rain, don't wear sandles. Kind of smelly if you don't care for snakes. My kids ran around after chickens.

So let me start by stating, I've been here at least a dozen times over the course of 35+ years. No Gorilla, No Alligators or Crocodiles on this visit (unless I missed them...) - Summertime is probably the worst time to go. Number one, HEAT. Who wants to be in the heat moving, especially with a fur coat on. The... More

My boys loved it, me... not so much. I don't like snakes. We had fun feeding the camel and seeing the other animals. Keep in mind that it is privately owned and NOT a city zoo or anything. I saw the animal caregivers doing a really good job. They answered questions and I could tell they really cared for the... More

Went here many years ago and was not impressed. Had a grand son in for a visit and needed something to do. WOW. A huge difference in the care of the animals and the snakes were well represented and cared for. The keeper who took care of the big animals was very informative to the kids. The keeper who brought... More

Having seen this place on television some time back, our family was excited to visit as we were vacationing close by. The variety of creatures both inside and out made things quite interesting. From farm animals to slithering things, there was something for everyone. Snakes are definitely not my thing but seeing them up close but safely behind the glass... More
