This is my favorite water park, have been coming here for over 20 years now. It has lots of natural shade, 3 pretty unique park sections and some interesting rides. If your goal is to ride a lot of actual water slides it's best to...More

Schlitterbahn is the nicest waterpark around here. Go early and try to stay on either the older side or the other side close to the lazy river. Has a lot of shade there. Food is ok. Pizza and turkey legs and fries. You can get...More

This place is nice, but only if you like the river rapids because thats what there basically is. Long lines. And there is more than 1 park with your paid entrance that you can switch

Go for the onion rings and ribeye! The service is always fast and the people are friendly. The outdoor patio is right on the river with a great view.

We went in May on a weekday. Half of the Park was closed so our group didn’t even get to experience that portion of the park. The lines were extremely long, many with two hour waits. We arrived at opening and left at 5:00pm. Those...More

I do not think Schlitterbahn would be worth a visit with the attractions closed. If you are visiting San Antonio, I would try the Homewood Suites NW. A two bedroom, 2 bath is usually available for under $250. The suites... More

public transport to schlitterbahn (2 Replies)
i am planning to visit Schlitterbahn waterpark while i am in Corpus Christy next month. I have small budget for this trip and I do not have a car. The waterpark in the Padre island and i will need public transportation to waterpark from downtown. but google maps shows that there is not bus transport between downtown and Padre island. Is there any cheap way to get there (like passenger boat) ?

Staying at the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, New Braunfels (4 Replies)
Hello from cold, snowy Connecticut! We're planning a mid-June vacation to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels, Texas, with our 13-yr.-old son, and 15-yr.-old daughter. We're considering staying at one of the hotels/cabins inside the waterpark. We've never been to this resort before, and I understand that there are several on-site accommodations from which to choose. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for where to stay in the park? Is it better to stay in one part of...More

Have you called the park to check availability for this summer? You might not have to much of a choice which section you stay in... We took our then 13 year olds there a few years ago. Spent two days there and that was just perfect. We didn't stay on site though, we drove each day. Parking was free if I remember correctly. You might want to spend a few days at the park and then a few days in San Antonio. The Riverwalk is there, along w/the Alamo and lot of other touristy things. My...More
