The park is home to two museums; La Maison Des Acadienne and Dutch Windmill Museum. It's Dutch Windmill Museum has Tex Ritter, who grew up in the area, exhibits as well as a look at the Dutch emigrants who settled Port Arthur and created the town of Nederland. They came to work as rice planters and lumbermen. The Dutch Windmill Museum traces the history of Port Arthur from its founding by Arthur Stillwell to present day. La Maison Des Acadienne is a in-depth look at Cajun life in Port Arthur with an authentic Cajun home. Both museums are well worth a visit. …

Took our grandkids to learn about local history. Beautiful grounds and 2 museums at the same location. Great choice.

The Acadian house in the park was done up very well and the docent was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and Acadian culture.

This wonderful LITTLE park is so beautifully maintained and well shaded! It’s a great place to stroll through between the windmill and the pioneer house. So cute, and SHADE!!!!

I'd rather say it as the back yard of the Dutch windmill and the French house as it's very small. The place is clean, neat and there is a path at the park. A big pecan tree gives so many nuts that a local came to collect them for a pie.
