Small but Much to Offer

Really neat little park! It's super small but packed with some really awesome stuff. Came by after Christmas, and it looked so pretty.

I lived in Nederland, Texas 46 years, moved to Sacramento,CA. I've lived their for 25 yrs. now. I got to watch the Nederland Bulldogs play a football game for the first time in 25 yrs.

It is not only a great park, but they have two museums dedicated to the early Dutch and French settlers in the area. The Acadia one has a gentleman who is Dutch and knows a lot about the area.

If you are in the area it is worth a stop at this museum/park. The Arcadia house is worth a visit as well. There is Dutch and Tex Ritter memorabilia available for viewing and the gentleman who works there is very nice and informative.

Nestled next door to the Windmill Museum, and the Acadian History House, this spot is a history lovers delight, and great picnic spot....come see the friendly folks in Nederland

The small park behind the windmill is a must-see when you visit Nederland!! It has gazebos and very interested information on Tex Ritter whom was originally from Nederland before he made it big in music and film.

The windmill has limited hours that change depending on the time of year. Be sure to go when you can go inside. It is a museum of the history of Nederland with a lot of Dutch artifacts.

I figured I should give this place a review since the only other one was rated too low for someone who didn't even get to go in the place. This little museum isn't much, but it's a nice place considering there isn't much to do in Nederland, TX. They don't have a lot compared to large museums, but it's a... More

I went with some tourist friends, when their online postings said they were open. They were closed when we got there. A disappointment.
