Southern Pacific Railroad built the Nacogdoches Depot in 1911 after lightning burned the original building built in 1883. The depot will house a museum depicting the importance of all transportation in the early development of Nacogdoches.

When this is open it is cool to see. My Girls love the model train display they have ever year. They have other things through the year.

Very nice on the outside. I called to find out when they would be open. The young lady said they used to open up and let people look but they haven't done that in quite some time. Apparently they are not planning on opening it...More

Once a year there is a toy train exhibit held at this location. Intimate and great fun for the children. One of the nicest buildings in town.

Beautiful old building. Would be nice if the fence wasn't on the side toward the tracks. The best view of the depot is from that side.
