Lovely food, friendly helpful staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Plenty to keep you occupied 24/7. Renovations not a bother BUT we were not told by the web site etc, & it is the whole of the indoor pool/ gym complex . So pretty impressive pictures are for the future or passed, but not available now. Why charge 8Euro per person per day to go on the top floor? A little way from the promenade, but a free shuttle bus is available.

The hotel in circa 1970s and hasn’t been touched much since. The pool area is tired , bed are mouldy underneath and the tiles are very old fashioned and it’s very slippy. The kids club is dark and grim mine refused to go in point blank. There is a show on every night reminiscent of butlins done badly. The food is buffet beige slop. We nicknamed breakfast - prison breakfast. The indoor pool and spa were being renovated so the construction noise was not welcome however at least they are trying to improve. The staff are all lovely and helpful. Location good as we are out every night and made a prison break despite being half board on account of the show and prison food. About 6 or 7 euro into Maspalomas. Taxis are cheap and plentiful.

In respect of staff it was OK, everyone is polite and willing to help. Rooms are put in order every day, but the bathroom could be much much more clean. During my stay the thalassotherapy and spa part was in reconstruction so I could not experience the best features. They could put an note of excuse at least on the reception. The breakfast food was ok, just ok, but the coffee was really abomination. It was a nasty liquid spit out of dowe egberts machine. Of course you could order an espresso which is considerably better but is comes of a price 2,2 euro which at one hand is understandable but at other is way too much for its quality.

This is a great hotel for people who enjoy rest and relaxation. The pools are perfect with lots of sunbeds available. And there are bars and snacks available on site. But it's well outside any town and the nearby shopping centre is limited in what it has. The nearest beach is a 15 or 20 min walk away, and not worth the trek, but there is a free bus to better beaches. The restaurant has a big selection of food. A very good breakfast selection and a perfectly reasonable dinner offer. You have to like this style of hotel dining to appreciate it best - I quickly became bored and couldn't be pleased. But other diners were really getting their moneys worth with great, heaped plates scoffed every night. Each to their own, I suppose. Alcohol is expensive if you're not all inclusive. They had a deal to upgrade from half board when we were there that was good value - better than the Tui price for the same. The entertainment was hit and miss. There were some enjoyable acts (singers and magicians) and some not so hot. Be careful of giving your true opinion to the anamation team leaders who will come around with an ipad twice a night to ask if you are enjoying it. They will interrogate your reasons for giving a less than happy face, and if you dare give a medium face or (heaven forbid) a sad face, be prepared to justify your score or face their wrath. (We christened the leader Torquemada and started giving happy face scores regardless of what we really thought). The room in the main hotel had a lovely view of the sea, but also faced the stage and the music went on till late every night. Not good when you are tired and want to sleep. We changed to a bigger family room, with a not so good view but it was a bit quieter. Comfortable, but watch out for the chimney thing. I kept getting gusts of fuel fumes that were not pleasant. Overall, worth 4 stars. Nice holiday in a nice hotel.

We spent 7 nights in Gloria San Agustin Hotel in August of 2019 with half-board. We were very satisfied with the hotel personnel, with our room (7th floor with view to the ocean) and the hotel itself. Breakfasts and dinners were perfect, there were numerous choices and a lot of types of food (Asian, Italian, Spanish, classic English, lot of fruits, vegetables, meats, pastas, desserts, healthy-food corner, diatetic foods, cheese, so everything you want). We tried the swimming pools a few times. Personnel is very kind, helpful, they solve everything you need. Satisfied with the cleanliness of our room. The only thing which was a little annoying was that evening programmes lasted till 11:45 pm every day and we were not able to sleep before midnight.
