    Amazing place
fantastic landscape beaches huge breezy area ocean waves to get to the beach about an hour of dirt road but it's worth it. then in the area a particular cemetery almost on the beach, and then there is the Winter house where Hitler is said to have stayed !!!!

Amazing wonderful beach and a good drive.
Incredible beach, amazing views. The drive is a gravel road, which is well maintained 35- 50kph is reasonable for 80%. slower near the top and the bends. The road is suitable for any car, corsa, camper van, anything, it really is. Its wide enough for 2 cars in most places. It has no guardrails and some large drops at the side near the top. If you are not into heights, it might cause concen but only for 5 mins hear the very top. A stunning drive and amazing scenery, was put off by some reviews, but it's so worth it, cemetery and Winter villa are average tbh. But the beach and Mountain s are next level awesome!!

    Wave time
Excellent for confident swimmers. I have never experienced waves like it. We had such good fun. However deadly if you do not stay alert. There is a rip current when the water returns to the sea, which tries dragging you in. This is countered by the massive waves coming into the beach. Do not go any deeper than thigh height and you are fine.

    Best beach ever!
Initially put off by some reviews about travelling to Cofete, we had to try it as we were just staying down the road in Morro Jable and so glad we did! We just had an average hire car, no 4 wheel drive and it was a reasonably good journey of about an hour over rough terrain and slightly dodgy drops at some points higher up (and I am quite a nervous passenger on such occasions). It was so worth it when we got there. Hardly anyone else there and had the beach virtually to ourselves. Scenery is stunning even though it was pretty cloudy when we went. Also worth the trip is on the way back, driving down to the lighthouse and the slightly Mad Max accommodation there, where I assume people are living (though we didn't see a soul). Just do it if you get a chance.

    Well worth the drive
Long and murky, but once we arrived there was a wonderful beach waiting for us. When we arrived, there were only a few people on the beach and during the hours we were there, more and more arrived, but since the beach is so huge, it was noticeable. Fantastic surroundings with a wonderful beach and the mountains in the background I have to warn about the strong currents in the water which are very strong and it is also very far to help if something were to happen

Amazing beach but a slog to get to.
The beach is amazing and this was my 3rd time. The first 35 years ago and the second about 12 years ago. I would not bother again as its now popular a full of hire cars and visitors who cant drive on dirt tracks especially when hilly! Suggest go early or late. The restaurant is small but good value.

Beware of going to confetabeach!!!There is no doubt it is a beautiful location. I had a hire car but the insurance would not cover me for the rough track. I was travelling alone.
I took the bus from the main station in Morro. I arrived at 09:30 but was told the bus was full. The next bus was 14:00.
The 14:00 left 40 mins late because the bus door would not shut!
We finally arrived at Cofeta at 15:30 and were told the return bus was 16:15
I arrived at 16:15
The bus was late by which time there were several people waiting .
When the bus arrived there was a scrabble. Unfortunately because I am an elderly single lady I didn’t get my elbows out in time. The result was there were no seats on the bus. I was the only traveller not to get on . 2 other ladies quickly got a lift from other cars.
The conductor made it clear it was not his problem. I asked how he expected me to get back to morro 20 Km away . I offered to sit on the floor but he refused.
I was left at the bus stop. I am a tough old bird 67 years old. But I realised that I had to start walking. By this time it was nearer 17:00. Bearing in mind it would be dark in the next hour or so and the walk would take me at least 3 hours.
I walked 3 miles before I got a lift- didn’t expect to have to hitch hike at my age.
The bus service in Fuertaventura should hang its head in shame. They transport people out to Cofete and are happy to take the fare but give no indication that they may not provide a return service
If I had known there was a risk of being abandoned in a remote location would never have gone.
So beware it may be a long , dark walk home!

Cofete wild beach, Fuerteventura.
Fuerteventura is called a nudist paradise and that is true. With the exception of the town’s common beaches, nudism is legal and a favorite. The beaches are more beautiful and spectacular than each other. It seems that the whole island is one big wonderful beach full of many naked, relaxed and happy people. Cofete beach is one of the most beautiful and although the road to it is poor, but it is redeemed by the natural beauty of the beach. Enjoy.

Cofete beach is a must when visiting Fuerteventura. 1h15 from Costa Calma totally worthy excursion even if the road is challenging in particular near the view point at the top. Most drivers are careful and use the extra space on sides of the road to facilitate traffic.

The view from the top is one of the best ever. Wonderful wind and powerful waves!

Some 30 cars at the beach parking but the beach is so long that it feels unspoilt anyway. There is a bar with enough choice of drinks and food just before the beach parking. Apart from that nothing at all on the beach and around apart from Villa Winter.

When returning from Cofete, one can continue some 10 kms to Punta Jandia, the tip of the island. Not as spectacular as Cofete beach but relaxing and also unspoilt.

We only visit this beach for an hour at the afternoon in windy, cloudy day but it was still amazing. Huge beaches, with sand dunes, beautiful colour of water. We wish we could see this beach in day full of sunshine

Cofete - no matter how many reviews you've read beforehand, this wild beach will totally amaze you. The views and the feeling you have when standing in the water looking left and right and up and down, are worth all the nerves you might lose while driving there. And there is even a spooky mystery house up in the mountain (Villa Winter) you can marvel about while taking a careful swim.
The ride is not easy, however not as bad as many suggest. Just do it in your own rhythm (which meant for us not going much faster than 20 km/h, but hey, who cares as long as you let the faster ones overtake you), stop whenever there was a chance to still enjoy the view and just not be in a rush. In the end, the road is actually very good up until the viewpoint (a little more than halfway there from Morro Jable) and afterwards it gets shakier, but still absolut doable. Don't do it with a small rental car and if so, then probably even slower (cause they strictly state not to leave the paved streets and this is definitely not a paved street).
However, all worth it. Highlight of your Fuerteventura trip (promise).
