Stayed at Faro Hotel 14/9-28/9. We have travelled to Jandia many times at other hotels and this time decided to try this hotel. We left extremely disappointed in all aspects of the hotel. Service was non existent bordering on rude. A member of the bar staff screamed at my husband because he added an extra drink to his order. We reported the matter to reception who said sorry and that was it. We ordered a meal at lunch time and when the wrong meal was brought to us the waitress accused us of lying by saying we had ordered the meal that had been delivered. Queues of 10 to 15 minutes at the bar in the evening. Nowhere near enough staff. Food barely edible with very little choice. This is not a 4 star hotel. Heavily biased in favour of German customers who themselves were all very polite and friendly. We were never spoken to in English or even Spanish always in German, Will not return

The curvy and narrow road to the lighthouse was... interesting. It was definitely worth driving. Lighthouse was beautiful and waves spectacular.

This is as far down as you can go! It's a long bumpy ride to get to the lighthouse and to be honest not much to see when you get there, however just before the lighthouse you have a small village made up of campervans and caravans (All painted grey never to move again) plus a couple of tapas bars. The bar with the knife collection at the back of the bar being the better (in my opinion)

We were a family with two teenagers. We had read about this place and decided to take a trip out. It is quite a trek to get there we only had a normal car a bit bumpy in places and also some tight narrow bits where you really need to concentrate. The views from the light house were stunning with terrific waves crashing in. The museum was shut not sure why as the times advertised on the entrance said it should have been open. We had a short walk along the coast but really need comfy shoes for this not sandals. The day we were there it was very windy and quite chilly in the wind so did not hang around for too long. After the long drive in and out my husband was more than ready for a beer once we got back to Morro jable.

Great start on arrival glass of champagne, help with luggage with a smile and room fantastic.4th floor upwards for best sea view..food very nice.Laid back environment, very popular with german couples and families.I have been to corrolecho, and in my opinion its not a patch on Jandia and the quaint little village of morro del jable.coming back for sure.

When you have a car which is insured also for gravel roads then a nice excursion will be to go to Faro de Jandia. Shortly after Morro Jable a good
gravel road will lead you to west end of the island. You will pass a small sign for another gravel road to Cofete. So on your way back you should make this detour because the road offers some spectacular views.

Shortly before you reach the lighthouse of Faro de Jandia you find a gravel road down to a nice small beach where often also some surfers can be seen. The light house is not spectacular but - when open - a small info/museum will some interesting things. You should walk a bit along the cliffs watching the big waves rolling on.

There is nearly no vegetation on the whole trip.

The lighthouse itself is nice but the area boasts some excellent coastline so have a walk around. People have made lots of love hearts and zen stones which is also nice. The rough and windy road here will take some time to traverse so if you have hired a car and dont want it to be obvious to the car hire company you been on such roads, take your time! The lighthouse will probably only take up 20 minutes of your time, but walking around the area to view the stunning coastline can take a good hour or two. Enjoy.

OK if you don't like to see "naturists" then avoid the area as this is full of German people eager to tan from head to toe, and IN BETWEEN...jokes aside, it is much more populated than Caleta whilst still keeping the charm, the wonderful beaches, fantastic, mouth watering restaurants and the general friendliness of the island.
