About
The House of Illusion presents a brand new show for 2023 At the House of Illusion, you will be taken on a journey through a mysterious world of comedy, sleight of hand, manipulation, escapology and of course grand Illusion. You will be greeted by our attentive staff at the top of the grand staircase and will be escorted to our beautiful Houdini's Attic terrace or Houdini Lounge where you can enjoy a drink whilst you wait for your entrance into the theatre. The night begins as you are entertained at your tables by our close up magicians, and presented with a delicious meal (with the dinner ticket) and all inclusive drinks. The amazement starts to kick in as we explore a world full of mystery, magic, and bewilderment. You will be full of amazement as the performers leave you lost for words with shadowography, manipulation, theatre of the mind, and of course grand, mind-blowing Illusions! You will experience truly spectacular happenings all in the space of one night.

- AustinSouth Yorkshire, United Kingdom139 contributionsMust do in Salou!Booked the drinks only package for €35 per adult. Drinks don’t start until your actually in the theatre… so you have to buy drinks from the bar outside until your allowed inside. About 30/40 mins prior to entrance, there is a live singer outside which adds to the atmosphere. Once inside we were sat like awkward lemons for a short time, while they tried to serve everyone. Drinks only tables are seated at the back, however you could still see everything and didn’t affect the view. Once we were seen to the drinks were served in large jugs, the cola was warm and flat, so I asked if I could have glass bottled coke and they were happy to oblige. They say you can order food from the snack menu from 19.30, however this wasn’t offered until 20.30. The show itself was ok, and considering it is 1 of only a few entertainment venues in Salou, I was happy to be there. The finale magic trick went wrong at the end and I don’t know if it was the little kids fault, or the main man moving the curtains away too early! But as an magic enthusiast myself, I knew how it worked anyway, so I personally wasn’t too fussed. Twice people came to the table to do close up magic which was brilliant. All the staff were really friendly and make the experience really enjoyable. You have your photo taken with your group/table, they then come round later and offer the photo in a keyring to purchase. I do think it’s great value for money, and a must do experience in Salou!Visited October 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2022
- E McnaughtAyrshire, United Kingdom316 contributionsGood family show must see! From start to finish we loved it the drinks package was good as well although probably became slightly merrier than I would normally of been. The meal was the only let down as it was just basic fried chicken and chips .... but the show is fantastic for all the family old and young !Visited September 2019Traveled with familyWritten January 12, 2020
- claireHereford, United Kingdom4 contributionsBest two nights ever !!The owner stopped us on a zebra crossing in Salou and asked us to pop in. We had a wander along the beach and popped up to the bar for a quick drink at 7.30pm, we did not leave until 12.30am. The atmosphere was brilliant, the staff made us feel at home, the place looks lovely, and the entertainment was brilliant. Harry with his cards, Lee's voice and Mark's drinks kept us happy all night. Our ages range from 48yrs down to 3yrs including a 16yr old, and we were all really pleased with our choice. So much so that we returned for an all inclusive evening on the Friday. 3 course meal, as much as we could drink and fantastic entertainment for an all in price. It was as full as it could be with the dreaded Coronavirus, but we all felt safe with the cleanliness and mask wearing. This is a must visit venue in Salou. We will definitely be going back, like many others.Visited October 2020Written October 4, 2020

We loved every minute of the experience from cocktails in Houdini's Attic before the show to the actual show its self. The meal was lovely with drinks included and the magicians coming round the individual tables. I would highly recommend that you book this, you will not be disappointed.

We visited House of illusion in Sep2020 when shows were limited due to COVID-19. We had dinner on the terrace and our 3 course meal was delicious!
Harry the magician was friendly and talented and made a lovely meal an entertaining evening. He and the singer were both brilliant.
Well worth a visit and we look forward to going back and seeing the actual shows.

We spent 3 or 4 nights out of our 10 in the house of Illusion and we had a great night every time. We went to the Tributes show and the Musicals and both were a fantastic night out. It was my daughters Birthday on one of the nights and the staff went out of their way to make it a fantastic night out for her. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Big shout out to Lee, Gemma and Cassie. See you all soon

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 4 day break in Salou, Spain and I just had to add a review of the House of Illusion as it was a very unexpected and entertaining discovery!
Not being big fans of the usual hotel entertainment we decided to venture out and see what Salou had to offer. We came across the House of Ilusion on the way to the beach, Playa Capellans, and decided to 'risk it' and get some tickets for the show that evening. The added incentive of dinner (chicken, chips and salad) and unlimited alcohol included in the very reasonable ticket price also helped persuade us!
When we arrived, we were entertained outside by 'Dangerous Ryan' while we waited to be taken to our seats and then we settled in for a great show that included magicians entertaining us while we ate our dinner, hilarious comedy magic, illusions on stage, an incredible hypnotism act, some cute bunny magic for the kids and a really scary escape act at the end. Totally brilliant!!
I was really amazed to find a show like this at a 'touristy' resort and it had something for everyone. You could take your kids, your friends and your grandma and everyone would enjoy it.
Even if your hotel has a show on every night, do yourself a favour and go to the 'House of Illusion'. We'll definitely be going again when we're next in Salou!

Dont do it, I was there last friday, very expensive RIP OFF, WE paid $34.50 each for a table of six, for "free flowing" champagne and wine and lager "all night", we got 3 jugs of lager and 2 bottles of not very nice fizzy wine I personally went through to the bar twice to ask for some service for third jug of lager,........... the magician stated he was going to vanish befor our very eyes----too late the serving staff had already done that trick.......... and you can see the magicians for free at various bars around the resort ( crows nest for one)
The magic itself was good, but the service let the whole night down

We're a family of 4 with teenagers, it can be tricking finding entertainment that we can all enjoy but our evening at House of Illusion thrilled us all. We loved everything out it - the quirky theatre, the acts, the atmosphere - brilliant. the only downside was that we had expected dinner to be included - it was our fault for not reading the literature properly but it was a little misleading and it did mean that by the time we left we where very merry on the inclusive alcohol and quite hungry. Even though dinner wasn't included we thought the ticket price for the quality of show was good value. I would strongly recommend anyone in Salou for the night to go along - it's brilliant - just make sure you double check if dinner is available.

this is my opinion and i let everyone else have theres! so this is mine!
i didnt like house of illusion and it was far from "magical" when we got our tickets we was told that it was a family evening so we decided to take the children! we was told to get there 30 mins before with only a few chairs we had to stand. the room was very hot as the room was getting very full. and then we had staff members starting to sing which was not for me and i wanted to see "illusion" and not people "attempting to sing" when we was showen the tricks in the bar area the section we was in was not big enought to see the man so we eneded up watching it on the screen! which was not ideal! when we was seated to our tables we had the back tables again this was not great as we had yound children with us and we was not told about paying extra to get a better view the drinks was flowing which was great. when the show started again it was singing and it wasnt the best at all when the magic began it wasnt great the man at the beging needs to give it up as he ticks was basic and old! when there was a break we had a photographer come round and ask if we wanted our pictures taken we all said no but he insisted on taking them! the best part of the night was at the end when the lady was floating in the air..so the night was not magical for me but its my opinion and i didnt like it!

I paid over €200 for our family of six to be entertained, the inclusive drinks were very low quality, although the staff were lovely and very accomodating, however the show was shockingly bad. In 2019 I did not expect to see grown men doing rubix cubes, ballon animals and shadow puppets and calling it magic/illusion, this is not an illusion show its a group of "entertainers" who laboriously go through the motions of very dated material. If you want to see the act they do, buy a VHS of a variety show from the 1970's,it will be more original
