This 'castle' was once a home and is owned by the 'local council'. It is open free to the public (limited hours) and has free exhibitions. I particularly enjoyed reading about the history of the building. Concerts are held here occasionally too. Worth a visit -right on the prom.

This is not a tourist attraction. It is a tourist information centre, not a great one at that. We picked up a few leaflets whilst given daggers by the woman sat back far enough to put us off asking her anything. We had young children who we wandered around the inside of the building with but unless you're interested in the architecture, religious aspect or the art then it's really a 10 minute and you're done kind of a place.

Saw BilBil Castle on TV's Place in the Sun & was intrigued with its history and architecture. Made a point of visiting it while in Benalmadena for a week.
Fabulous location on the promenade with its red brick contrasting with the colours of the sand, sea and sky. Inside the Moorish style architecture was beautiful and it seems much bigger than the outside with all the ante rooms.

A visit to BilBil, along from the windmill roundabout, is well worthwhile. Internally the building is beautiful. On Sundays at 5.30pm. there's a 'Songs of Praise' which is in English. Many countries are represented in the audience, as are Briitsh ex-pats. These events are encouraging & uplifting. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We enjoyed lovely fellowship here on Christmas day and a beautiful Christian Christmas service. The walk on Christmas morning to the castle was ablaze in warm sunshine. The fellowship of believers were so welcoming and had gone to great lengths to make everyones Christmas morning a real joy. Thankyou for the beautiful experience.

What a blessing it was to be present at the Songs of Praise in Bil Bil Benalmadena Costa. Much appreciated! Would recommend this to all visitors to Benalmadena. An enjoyable hour of music & readings.

The service was advertised at the Diamond Resort of Sahara Sunset, which is only a short distance from the Bil-Bil Castle.
The service was advertsied as being at 17.30 for 1 hour and they were true to their word.
The people who organised the service put in a lot of effort to bring a Christian witness to this area. The speaker this week followed a theme and the hymns were all well known and followed the same theme.
For anybody who wants to attend an act of Christian worship, then they should really go to he Songs of Praise, which is enhanced by the wonderful backdrop of the mediterranean
