The spot is great. We hung out at Rupis. They were super friendly and have great gear for kids and adults. The restaurant is also great. Booked some kite surfing lessons with Virgie at the Kite surf booth at Rupi's. She was super friendly and speaks at least 3 languages (French, German, English). We set down the dates and I paid for the lessons upfront. Then for the next 4 days there was not wind, so we couldn't do the lessons. Virgie immediately reimbursed me the money.

On our way from Olbia to Stintino we took a last minute diversion north to Porto Pollo. The only reason being that I read an article featuring several small beach businesses there in the in-flight magazine on easy jet. It was well worth it. The beach is great and has 2 bays linked. On one side is mainly windsurfing and other water sports with a few snack bars etc. On the other side there is shallow clear blue water and mostly sunbathing. We could easily do a long weekend break here. There are apartments to rent at the top of the hill. Well worth the 50 min diversion for lunch.

Acceptable prizes, excellent service and manners - simply welcoming. Whether you want to ride the wind or need to be taught the ABC of the wind... all here on two seperate beaches with different properties. Perfect for learning quickly, then challenging your newfound skillz.

Nice beach, but you have to get there. 3 car parks but often full and a 10-15 minutes walk. Extremely crowded in August.
The sailing club is well equipped and the prices are reasonable (published on their website). However, even with a sailing permit, you have to take an hour with an instructor.
Also the bay is full of sailboats/kite surfers/ windsurfers etc, with varying levels of experience and the sailing is difficult to handle.
Finally the deckchair is rented 68 € per day/ 45 € per half day, more than for a beach front chair in a 5 star hotel...
Avoid in high season and take your parasol for those who stay on land.

Travelled with 3 friends .... We were recommended to go to Porto Pollo as one of the nicest beaches in Palau. When we arrived the beach did look lovely and there were many kite surfers / wind surfers which we would have enjoyed watching. But unfortunately the system they have in place for the sun loungers and parasols is a pre booking system. So even though it looks like there are many to choose from , the holiday makers / locals who have booked for the day use them up. When we asked if we could book them until needed they informed us that was not possible . Sadly my friends and struggled to find shade as there are no parasols to rent. We ate in the only Sardinian restaurant and also had a bad experience with the very un attentive waiters behaving as if they were appearing in some kind of Italian Puccini opera ... Popping in and out from the sidelines but not serving and purposely avoiding eye contact !!! We had booked our table but was kept waiting at the bar for ages even though we could see our table was ready . Service was a shambles , we all felt very uncomfortable and surprise surprise they had added an extra bottle of wine to our bill ... Wine was quite expensive at euro 25 . We felt as it was the only place to have lunch on the beach they monopolised the market and used it to their advantage. Certainly would not recommend :-(

Parking very hard.
As a kite surfer very choppy and lots of beginners.
A bit of a walk from car to beach.

Long beach, fantastic water. You can snorkeling, kitesurfing or windsurfing. Very windy. But you can also sunbathing. There are different pub along the beach, so you can have a drink and good food.

If you are a windsurfer, this is the place to come. There is a narrow causway to a private island. There are car parks, but if yoiu do not windsurf, there is not much else to see.

Planned to visit other beaches but we fell in love with this place so we stayed here for two days. Atmosphere is great, lots of young people and good bars. Kite surf, windsurf and paddle boarding available all around. We were lucky to be there on Saturday as there was live music in Rupi’s chilling out and made the day even more perfect. Absolutely a must!

Great beach, in high season a bit crowded. Many places to eat and drink available, also some umbrellas to be rented or surf equipment etc.

Ther is a Bar Restaurant overlooking the beach a Hotel restaurant behind the Bar Restaurant and at least 3 beach side eateries/bars.
There is also a small supermarket just down the hill from the Bar Restaurant.
