About
With a wide range of premium and luxury brands presented in flagship outlet stores OUTLETCITY METZINGEN offers an incredible date with the stars of the fashion scene. The glamorous star cast from Armani, Etro, Hugo Boss to Polo Ralph Lauren and Ermenegildo Zegna was recently joined by the luxury labels Gucci and Bottega Veneta. Award-winning architecture shapes the urban townscape and thanks to the wide choice of fashion and lifestyle products every visitor will enjoy a fascinating shopping experience with prices reduced by up to 70% throughout the year (compared to the former RRP if there is any). The picturesque town Metzingen 30 km south of Stuttgart and about 2 hours from Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich is one of the most successful factory outlet locations in Europe with approximately 3.5 million visitors from 185 nations every year. The reason for this success lies in the traditional past of the town as a center of textile industry and hometown of Hugo Boss.

Hi . I am Marta and I am regular client of outlet . Always lov it and bought in Jimmy Choo each time I am there . On the way back I step to new shop the cosmetic company or something like this as I saw they had jo Mallon staff and I am British so I lov it . Once I hat two items with me I stop one last time and wanted to smell tester cream - woman or may I say creature as her behaviour wasn’t a lady behaviour run to me and say I can’t dip my finger into cream - aka I have no near my finger close by cream as I try to pull with my finger the plastic top to only smell cream as I am pregnant and very sensitive now for all smells . Once she acted not nice to me I said to her that I don’t have to buy in the shop when people are not nice to the CLIENT than put two other items on shelf and left she continues screaming on me that I don’t have to shop here she don’t need me and rudely say goodbye, I was really shocked and told her that I will wright a review online then she added that she is not working there - of coz to protect herself- coz why she will run to me and she was dressed black like other woman in the store on side of the cash point . When I told her she should not behave this way to the customer she continues screaming that she don’t need me here and there are the door . There where other couple inside they didn’t know what is going on and my husband was outside of the building getting air . When I told him what happens he wanted come back there and speak with manager but sorry - I have 32 years old - but I started crying as I was in shock and felt not well . Now we are on the way home and to see my doctor as I am very delicate with my pregnancy and any stress can be harmful for me and my baby. If anything happen I will make sure to go to the court and process correctly . Has never been treated this way . I have no words . You should never be so rude either to your client family or friends . I guess she have lots of trouble in her life to put aggression to people you even don’t know . I hope karma will come to you shortly . To the shop I don’t think they will be open for long as per all reviews on TA there are same issue with one star only . Thank you ! Ps the woman was in black dress code pull her hair I guess black kind of massive posture .

I went to the cosmetics company store in the metzingen outlet and unfortunately the two staff members were not nice. The first shouted aggressively at me to lift my mask when I was trying to smell a fragrance. There were no other customers in the store but myself and my colleague and another staff member. We were all standing very far apart. You also have to have a negative test to enter the outlet, which means I do not have COVID. I understand the rules but the staff member should have been more polite in how she spoke.

The second staff member offered my Caucasian colleague a bag when she was paying straight away but not me I had to ask three times for one.

I was generally made to feel like I am not welcome and that the two ladies did not like brown skinned people.
Also they didn’t speak very good English which doesn’t make sense to me if you are working in an outlet that tries to attract people from around the world. Should the store staff not be able to speak English? The store will lose money if they continue to have staff like this.

Very very sad as I had been before and had really good service from very nice women who spoke both German and English.

Outlet city management the staff members have let your brand down.

Just a shopping paradise if you want to spend a lot of money in stuff you don’t really need...great prices, great names. Make sure you get the app to get additional discounts.

Truly great for shopping. Hugo Boss is impressive here but there are many other shops also. Good deals, good parking and space enough - at least on a summer Wednesday

Have visited many outlets but never one as bad as this. I will never use time to go there again. Yes this is a huge outlet with all the famous brands but really very expensive prices. We spend 5 hours there today were in a lot of stores but this was simply to expensive only bought things in 2 stores don’t spend time to go there!
Take the outlet in Serravalle North of Genova this is Good prices.

Went with wife and teenage daughter. Both had a positive experience when discovering the brands in the city. However their bags remained empty as many of the brands apparently had few of their normal cloth but only cloth in “aggressive” colors (summer time). Only highlight was Hugo Boss

a small town with outlets spread out all across from it. Make sure to get a map! Designated paths are made to cross and walk around the outlets - very well organized.

Fun to see all of the great shops! Though quite pricey...fun. So many people, styles, languages. A world of fashion and humanity!

One of the major reasons to give a 5 star 🌟 is the fact that stuff is actually on discount here. Most of the major brands are here, and shopping 🛍 is indeed an extremely satisfying experience. We simply love the Hugo Boss store, the variety is enormous and the prices also reasonable compared to what we get in other parts of Germany. Be it S. Oliver, Calvin Klein, Levi’s, Burberry, Fossil, Lacoste.... they are all there.
The car parking is also well taken care of and is reasonable on the pocket.
Totally and completely worth it!!

I visited the place during my business visit to Stuttgart. It is around 30 km from Stuttgart. Ine can either drive to the place or take a train to reach there. It takes around 1 hour's time from Stuttgart. You will have to take the S1 to plochingen, change train at Plochingen and arrive at your destination.
There is a registration counter at the entry to the outlet city. If you're an employee from some select German organizations you are entitled to an additional 15% corporate discount on items that you purchase.
Some of the renowned brands having a presence there are Hugo Boss, Nike, Adidas, Samsonite, Tim Taylor, Mammut, S. Oliver, Fossil, Timberland, North Star etc.
If you're lucky you may get really quality merchandise at reasonably good prices owing to the discounts offered.
One can spend on an average 4-5 hours to check out the huge variety of different things you want to buy. There are restaurants as well where you can have something to munch upon.
Chocolate lovers can buy authentic Good quality swiss chocolate from the Lindt store.
Overall if you're a shopaholic Metzingen is the place for you.
