Nothing special... Unpleasant personnel. How did they get the Unesco title remains a question. Much better places around.

Finally succeeded to visit Corvey as part of us exploring Weserrenaissance architecture. We were not disappointed. The church interior was quite interesting and so was the rooms allocated to the library.

We visited Corvey Abbey this morning and stayed for about two hours. It has a fascinating history and the building is magnificent, particularly the chapel with all the angels adorning it. The 75000 volumes go Hoffman books was amazing to see.

This is a remarkable site, worthy of its UNESCO designation....visit it by bicycle, along the beautiful Weser bike path...founded in the 9th century, it is a rare jewel in a beautiful natural environment.
