Personally I think that this place is one of the best for ski vacation. It is an hour from Geneve airport and still an very big area with hundreds of slopes.

Amazing skiing in this area. We come every year and are never let down. So much to do, and more of a village feel rather than a resort style.

First time at this resort and found it very enjoyable to ski with kids.there was a gang of us with lots of kids (11-16 yr olds) of varying ability There are lots of blue and green runs so there was lots of choices for the less experienced members of the group. There was also good options for off piste so everyone was catered for... A few of the lifts are very old and it could do with some upgrades but there were no queues and the slopes were quiet even on Saturday. The commute to GVA is also very good at less than 90 mins so it's definitely a resort for consideration. We'll definitely be back.

We only had one day to ski at St. Gervais, but we were psyched to tackle this large ski resort in the Alps. It was pouring rain in the Village, but as we climbed the mountain in the Bettex Télécabine the snow started dumping and we were treated to a few inches of powder on nice a groomed-base. This place is huge and there were lots of steeps and some trees, but we had to stick mainly to the groomers because the previous day had softened the snow and then the freeze made for bumpy bulletproof anywhere else. On my way up the various lifts I could envision myself totally ripping the different bowls, steeps and trees on a better weather day. There is so much terrain! The other challenge was the fog and clouds. You couldn't see very far and the above treeline descents were so white and socked in that you had to ski by feel, which was pretty scary. Given the conditions, the place was empty on a Friday in early March so I cannot speak to the crowds other reviewers mentioned. As for pricing, I consider St. Gervais lift ticket prices a steal! Most larger American resorts where I've skied are double the price or more of a St. Gervais ticket. Tip- The Ski Plus rental shop is located right above the base of the village lift. You can easily rent decent equipment here and get right on the lift.

We enjoy coming here because of the ESF ski school and easy lockers at the top and few cafes which are good. It can get very busy during holidays and the queue up can take a good 20 minutes to the gondolas.
