Overview
More
This mosaic of different destinations offers a multitude of different ambiances and atmospheres that also reflect the changing architectural styles of winter sports resorts since 1961. Most of La Plagne’s villages were designed by architect Michel Bezançon.La Plagne is part of the Paradiski area and therefore is one of the large ski resorts and is also a family-friendly resort with adapted package offers.

La Plagne is good for all levels of skier, with most of the runs being classed as blue, but beware, some 'blues' are more like 'red'! Apres Ski is decent, the town seems a bit disjointed and there are a few different town 'centres', but...More

I had just read "Snow Job - a Len Palmer Mystery" which is set in the French Alps and wanted to see the area for myself. La Plagne is one of the best resorts I have skied. Although it is a huge area with some...More

Immaculate pistes despite lack of fresh snow. Great shopping area at Plagne Centre. Lots to do as well as skiing. We stayed with Silverski who offer catered chalets at reasonable prices. We used Oxygene for hire and lessons. We had a perfect trip. Thanks to...More

We have skied in La Plagne for over twenty years and still find new places to ski. There is lots of off-piste skiing available but it doesn't get skied out quickly like some resorts.

La Plagne Paradiski - End of March 2017. I stayed at Plagne Aime 2000 so was quite high up and snow assured. It is central enough and easy reach of all areas in La Plagne. Montalbert at 1350m is a ski down between the trees,...More

Lacking some charm in areas the resort is easy to navigate and offers a wide choice of ski and boarding experiences to suit all levels. Some of the lifts are as old as I am, can be slow and the lift lines can be long...More

La Plagne is an extensive ski resort which has mainly wide open blue runs . This makes it absolutely perfect for family skiing - we almost didn't need to consult a piste map as there weren't many red and black runs to catch us out...More

We went here for a carnaval break one-week ski trip, and had a great stay. The snow was very good given the weather conditions. For ski/snowboard this is really a great resort, but the village is not very cosy.

Thansk Janus, If you're looking for a cosy village you can stay at Champagny en Vanoise or Montchavin la Plagne. Those are typical village in low altitude but there are related to la Plagne ;)

Now that La Plagne is linked up to Les Arcs by a stupendous lift across the valley, you have a huge ski area at your disposal. La Plagne offers long motorway pistes and Les Arcs (better for mountain restaurants) has prettytree lined sloped. Fun slopes...More
