About Riviera fly-fishing
Guillaume Durand professional instructor-guide for fly fishing in the gorges of Verdon and Alpes Maritimes. The Riviera offers a great diversity of landscapes unique in Europe. On one side the sea, on the other high alpine mountain, one passes quickly from the "Great Blue" to the wildest gorges and torrents. It is on this land of contrasts, crowned with 300 days of sunshine a year, that I propose you to discover the art and ethics of fly fishing.

That was my first guiding ever and Guillaume was such a fantastic guide! He was very patient with me and showed me exactly where the trouts are. His knowledge about this area, flora and fauna is incredible, he is a true local and very passionate about fly fishing and nature. It was a pleasure to spend the day fishing with him, I learned a lot and took a lot of good things and knowledge back home. Hope to fish the river again one day! Cheers! Kay

Have fished with Guillaume on two occasions and both times it has been thoroughly enjoyable albeit quite tiring! Guillaume is not only a very nice guy to spend a day with but also he is very passionate about the environment and protecting the very beautiful wild trout of the region which is why catch and release is followed. He also introduced me to the Japanese fly fishing method "Tenkara" which was great fun once you got the hand of it. very useful skill in these sometimes very small waters. If you enjoy fly fishing and looking for an interesting and enjoyable day, then I would highly recommend getting in touch with Guillaume. I will be doing so again in the near future.

Guillaume Durand is not only a knowledgeable fly fishing guide for the Verdon river, but also a very friendly guy. He masters different fly fishing techniques, including Tenkara, and is capable of explaining those techniques patiently to his clients. And he knows where the trout hang out! I would recommend Guillaume to anyone who wants to go fly fishing in the Verdon.

What a fabulous experience! Guillaume is incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of fly fishing and it’s techniques, the species, the region and the ecological challenges facing the river. He introduced me to the joys of Japanese Tenkara fishing in the rapids and really helped me improve my casting. I will definitely be booking some more guided adventures with him when I’m back in France. Outstanding. Thank you!
