Visited while following the walking tour from the tourist information. Very quiet and evocative place. Tombs very understated compared with others for less famous residents

I really enjoyed this place but then again, I am a fan of Van Gogh so to see the place where he lived and died was great. To see the church he pained and the hotel, to walk to streets he walked recreated his world for me.

Nice to see Vincent Van Gogh’s final resting place and walk his footsteps around the town centre. We parked here for free and It’s then an easy stroll across a footpath to the church (he painted) and into the town centre.

As an enormous fan of Vincent Van Gogh this was a very special visit for me. So many times that we have been to France and finally we made it mandatory to visit this very sacred place.

It is difficult to explain the feeling, a bit surreal I think, of being there and seeing his grave - next to his brothers. A very sad moment, but one I will never forget.

Recommended - especially for a fan of Van Gogh's.

For Van Gogh fans, nothing could be more moving than seeing his final resting place. A simple grave in a public cemetery in a small town in France. No tour buses, no selfie taking crowds. A serene and peaceful place.
It makes you think that in the end, beyond all the fame and fortune that poor Vincent never got to experience, perhaps being buried beside his beloved brother is all that really matters.

Place where Vincent and brother Theo are buried. Interesting walk up the hill, past the church he painted to the cemetery. Take the walk back through the field where he shots himself and take the route he walked back to the inn

It's very low key tour. The place got us thinking about being alone and made us feel more appreciate to our family.
You could feel the loneliness when we went to see the wheat field & Gogh's Apt for last 70 days. Worth it to check it out.

We stopped here, like most visitors, to see the graves of Vincent and Theo Van Gogh. They are set toward the back of the cemetary. To reach the place, you walk up a rather long hill, but the walk is quite lovely. You can also drive there if you have a car and park easily by the roadside. I would definitely include this stop if you go to Auvers.

Visiting the grave of Van Gogh is quite convenient. A short drive off the main drag. The grave is very sweet, next to his brother Theo. Walking around the town, it is great to see the sights that inspired Vincent’s paintings. They have the painting next to sights he would’ve seen. A short walk around the fields around the cemetery feels timeless. A lovely place and well worth the visit.
