Started this trail from "Boyd north parking lot" and it is beautiful. There are a bunch of smaller trails off the main trail that, in my opinion lead you to the best spots. There is minimal litter anywhere because they have a bunch of trashcans around. I'd recommend anyone check this place out.

Extremely beautiful area. The parking is next to each picnic area which makes it very convenient and also makes sure you have parking for all the people at the picnic, unlike parks where the parking is difficult to find.
There is an entry fee but well worth the convenience.

This is a great place for family picnics, outside events, sports clubs and so much more. It is endless acres of walking, cycling, outdoor fitness and many other opportunities; easy parking; located in the middle of a residential area with easy parking

Beautiful park when it’s ‘Open’ today such a beautiful day with many people wanting to go in and the gates are closed and that small parking lot before you go in was full and many cars outside turning away. What a shame we can’t enjoy it . we are seniors and appreciate nature at this time, 7 November 2021 ..By the way we pay a family membership for the whole year..

Spent the day here and for a park that charges $6 per person is not acceptable. Not a well maintained park especially not to mention the bathrooms, should be spotless ..This place should not be charging people for a regular park.will not be returning.

My family and I have gone to this park for several years. We have enjoyed various corners of this extensive park and have been impressed by its upkeep. It also features a great hiking trail for those who love to spend time outdoors. I recommend this park for family reunions, business and non-business related events.
It’s a shame though to often witness the inconsiderate actions on the part of guests with littering it with their garbage of any sort.

I’m from out of town (actually US) and needed a place to get a 4-5 mile run in. I used google maps to get me to the park but there weren’t many signs on the in roads to even tell me where to go to start hiking. I eventually saw one Hiking sign, parked near there and wandered a bit to get to a trail head. There are also no trail map signs that I could find. There may have been one on a building further away but it was right in the middle of a day camp so I couldn’t go look at it.
I just started walking down a gravel path, asked one gentleman who didn’t know much, then sort of followed another runner a bit. I got a decent run in (big hills) but it was a lot of stops and starts, go this way, backtrack, etc.
Having all these trails is very special and your city is so lucky to have them. They are truly beautiful. But this would be even more of a treasure if you made it more inviting and accessible. Those who aren’t normally adventurous and outdoorsy might feel intimidated without trail guides of some sort.

Took my kids here for a few picnics. They love it. its like your in a different world. So much nature so close to the city seems unnatural, but it's amazing.

Lovely scenery! A nice long path to walk if you enjoy nature. It's great for hiking and riding bikes. Could be well suited for families as well as couples!

If we want to have a picnic party ? Is it free to do or do we need to pay for that? Apart from the entry fee?

You can bring your own BBQ into the park.
There is a fee to enter the park. $6.50 per adult, $5.50 per senior, $3 per child and children 0-4 are free.
There are no areas for fishing at Boyd. I would suggest one of our other parks, such as Heart Lake or Glen Haffy for fishing.

Hi,
If you would like to have one of our picnic shelters then we do ask that you reserve the spot. If you do not reserve the spot you run the risk of coming and no sites are available.
