Wish the fountains were working....otherwise, great

These small gardens are very proper and lovely. I think there was maintenance work going on on the fountains. You pass through this on the way to either of the larger gardens adjacent to the palace.

Wish I Had Seen the Fountains
Apr 2018 • Solo
I enjoyed visiting this garden after touring the Palace. The beautiful pathways and view of the river surrounding the area were very pleasant. I saw 4 peacocks/peahens at the far end of the garden! They were not bothered by me at all, and one peacock almost came close enough to me to touch him! There is a great variety of places to sit, trees and flowers to admire, and statues and fountains.
However, none of the large fountains was working or even had water in them. I saw workers in the largest fountain by the garden entrance; I imagine they are preparing all of the fountains for a debut after the winter season. The smaller fountains had water but weren't active. I guess I was just a week or two early to enjoy the full beauty of these features.

Very Well Maintained

The Jardin del Rey was very well maintained when we visited it and it was a joy to walk these gardens and see the fountains and sculpture there, with views of the Tajo River.

Beautiful gardens
Apr 2017 • Couples
Close to Palacio Real the gardens are immaculately maintained and a pleasure to walk around. Lovely to see the fountains spraying the water on the banks of the Tajo with geese and ducks aplenty.

A Nice Garden connected to the Marvelous Jardin De La Isla
Oct 2016 • Couples
A well preserved royal garden attached to Aranjuez Royal Palace. Adjacent to Jardin De La Isla which has plenty of nice fountains and huge green areas.
One of the best gardens I have seen is Spain, and the one with the biggest number of OPERATING fountains.
