The walk to the top of the hill, where the castle sits is like walking back in history. Great archaeological and historical perspective. Good views over the country.

A great site to explore with splendid views over the roof tops and surrounding area. A real must to visit when in Trujillo.

The castle itself is not very attractive compared to some of the other splendid buildings in Trujillo. You do not even need to visit the inside. However it is very much part of the history of Trujillo and its Muslim heritage and the view of the surrounding countryside is spectacular.

You may have seen better castles but the location and consequent views make up for everything. A must see if you are in the area and just one feature in a very lovely town.

The castle is a must go, and it isn't expensive (1.40). The views from the bell tower and the Virgin are wonderful. They were under renovation so couldn't see more. But worth going for the view.

Great place to walk and take pictures. Not a huge thrill but nice to see and photograph. Only takes about 15 min to walk through..but the walk up and around the area was just as picturesque.

The castle is quite a walk uphill on the cobbled streets, but it is worth the hike for the news from the top. You can see why they built a fortress here in the 9/10th centuries. Pity cars are allowed up to the castle.

Apart from the Castillo and its ruins, the views over the town & countryside are well worth the hike up to it

The stunning views from around the castle over Trujillo and the surrounding areas make the short climb up worthwhile. The castle is very well restored and preserved on the outside with work ongoing inside. Driving in to Trujillo and seeing the castle allows you to imagine the prominent and strong position it held.

Well preserved on the outside and looks like they are restoring the inside. Great views of Trujillo. Limited hours due to NYE
