The price per 2 beds and an umbrella is £80, in the meantime NO beach towels supplied, we were advised to buy them in the beach shop. The space between lines of the sun beds is so small so there is no way to shift back as the sun comes round by midday. The umbrellas do not bend sideways either. There are a lot of cigarette ends on the beach sand. It would be great to at least educate your relevant clients that they are expected to tidy up after themselves. If that hasn’t been done, the staff must ensure that everything is clean after each client left. This is a joke guys. You just cannot call yourself a luxury place and charge so much money while having such issues. I’d be happy to pay any price for appropriate level of services.

My wife and I loved it here. It’s a higher end beach club, which is exactly what we wanted after a couple of days sight seeing in the centre of Athens.

The beds are comfortable and the waiter service is quick and efficient. The general vibe is chilled and relaxed, we were here early in the week and it was pretty quiet. I imagine it’s busy at the weekend, but a cool place for a cocktail.
The sandy beach is beautiful, the water crystal clear and you get a stunning view of the sunset.

The price is on the high side, €80 for two beds and parasol on the front row if you pre-book on the website. But as Athens is very quite atm we decided to rock up about 10.30am without booking. If you don’t reserve a bed the price is substantially cheaper, we paid €50 on the door for the same thing.

We’d definitely go back.

Very nice view! The sand is soft and nice. The music too loud.
Visited twice.
To have a bed on the front row, you had to book online.
it costed 80 euros, but I understand it was during the Pasedonia convention, and a busy week. However I would have expected a better service at that price. Second time I didn't bring a towel, so I had to buy one in a shop by the beach for 90 euros, That is too much!

The young people working there was staying around, and you had to make big gestures to have their attention. I had to move the heavy sun bed into the shadow myself, because no-one showed up after the waitress promised she'd send someone.

When I left, she payed me no attention even though I passed her on the way out. And I had tipped her.
I also reflected on why the young employees didn't rake the sand by the water. It wasn't clean. It wouldn't have taken them so long, in stead they were hanging around talking to each other. I can't understand why people is lazy while at work

Beach is beautiful, sunbeds are comfortable and showers as well as changing rooms are well-mainted. Price is just ridiculous for the service offered. We went last week (may 2022) and staff is extremely inexperienced to the point that they don’t even know how a POS works for card payments as they made us select which bank we want them to get paid to😂 Bar run out of ICE (quite unusual I would say for a bar) as the team was just too careless to make the ice machine preparations on time. This resulted to receiving margarita cocktails which were hot. Waitresses and waiters have just been hired and it is obvious they have absolutely no clue on the job and neither care to learn. We understand that there is lack of personnel in Athens as most people prefer to work season in islands which is more rewarding but if the best you could recruit were service staff who dont know how to operate a POS, then you might consider not charging 70 euro per sunbed on a working day. Trying to pretend to be elite is funny when your personnel is less trained and professional than service teams in remote greek villages by the sea. Would recommend to the management to visit some international elite beach bars in Mykonos, Dubai, Cape Sounio and Santorini to educate themselves first, before attempting to run the business without the necessary background. I rarely write reviews but honestly service was so bad to the point it was funny to watch. Please educate yourselves and put work on this great establishment which has all the potential to become a top beach destination across the country.

I was very disappointed from the service provided. We booked online a pair of sunbeds for 160euros, which makes it the most expensive beach in athens. When we arrived we asked for 2 beach towels and they told us that due to covid (what a joke, all covid restrictions were lifted nationwide a few months ago) they cannot provide towels to paying customers and we should buy new ones from one of their stores - bear in mind that 2 years ago the price for 2 sunbeds was 120 euros and they always offered beach towels. Even at the best beaches of Mykonos, by far the most expensive destination of Greece, the price of the sunbeds is the same but at least they have the common decency to offer a couple of beach towels to their customers for free. After explaining the matter to the person in charge, the only response I managed to get was “we will relay your complaints to management”. I’m not recommending this beach to anyone. There are other beaches with far better services with way more reasonable prices.

For 40€/each person you used to get towels and water included (and if I recall cold towels to cool you off) — you don’t anymore nor is it indicated as such that any services discontinued. Call button does not work and the workers are extremely pretentious and are not attentive. I asked for a frappe and said they don’t make them anymore. What? You’re at a beach bar and you don’t make frappe? LOL. Come on! We waited over 30 min for our coffees. It just wasn’t the Astir I remember pre-COVID that I would go to a few times each summer. I also noticed the “VIP” section got towels so obviously it can’t be due to COVID, right? Maybe just be upfront and said we had to change our services. Next time we will go to Akti across the street for a fraction of the price and have an overall better experience. I will say the food remained the same and was just as tasty but u fortunately it wasn’t enough to counter the rating. You need to do better and consider the reviews here and start responding to them. While you may think people come here one time, that is simply not true and people do consider reviews when going somewhere. If I do go again, I will ensure I call ahead to see if anything changed before dropping 80€ entrance for 2 people.

I spend one day at Astir Beach Club at the end of August and I definitely can recommend that place. The beach and sea are beautiful, the service is fast and friendly, the showers are clean, the changing rooms spacious. The guests were a mix of young people, couples and families with small kids. Even though there were some kids playing around it was possible to relax and spend a good time at Astir Beach. The only disadvantage was the fact that guests did not get towels for the sunbeds but have to bring their own ones due to Covid-19. There is a shop next to the restaurant where it’s possible to buy towels in case you don’t bring one.
In the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset at the beach! I would visit Astir Beach Club again next time I’m in Athens.

I think this place is overpriced, it’s nice when you spend one day here but not more than that it’s not worse it in my opinion. We did enjoy a day there, got chairs and umbrellas in the front row, seems safe left our stuff in the table no issues. Chairs could have used more cleaning.
Next time I I would love to explore other beaches if I have more time at the riviera.
Also hookah seemed very over priced, 100 dollars while at coyocan which is a fancy bar restaurant club it was 50 so little strange, quality was not good either

I have been going to
this beach for the last 10 years. Nature has indeed created one of the most beautiful beaches near Athens, nice sand and crystal waters. But…that’s about it.

Since management changed things have been going worse every year. I have seen no improvement in any level to justify the prices that are increasing every year.
1. First of all, there used to be more staff so the beach was always clean. Now, after some wind or seagull attack no one seems to bother to gather the litter fallen to the sand
2. There is no proper shadow from these small umbrellas. Only in the morning, after 13.00 good luck, your legs are still going to get sunburned.
3. No water or towels provided. I think that with these prices that’s the minimum they should provide.
4. I have seen children playing with a ball inside the archaeological site, which I find unacceptable. Of course I blame the parents, but I feel the site should be protected in a better way.
5. This year, as all over the Mediterranean sea, there are a lot of jellyfish. As I do not expect giant nets that are of course against my ecological feelings, I have seen a 15 year old gathering 30 jellyfish with his own net in 30 minutes. And I am thinking, when someone pays 180 euros to enjoy the sea, why hasn’t just one person been assigned by the management to do this task so that no children come out of the sea crying after a jellyfish encounter? I mean just do the math… 160 per umbrella, 180 front row + the vip = definitely COULD hire a person to take care of that for a few days.

Overall: the beach is fantastic but the services do not reach the expectations for the price.

We were recommend this beach by locals. Paid enter for 2 sunbeds and parasol. Tranquil spot near waves. Beautiful crystal clear waters on this sand beach. We loved it. Paid for drinks served chilled and food which wasn’t overly priced. Few shops near entrance bit overpriced so recommend you bring essentials.
