The cave is wonderful mother natures creation but make sure that you get all required information from information centres or phone before. You cannot rely on opening hours shown in Net. When we reached there, we needed to wait like one hour due to the fact that the temperature of the cave is 17 degrees celcius and guide needed to... More

A beautiful cave, just a half an hour away from the centre of Athens, however it has been closed for the last 4 years. Although it was supposed to be opened to public after some reconstruction, there is no sign of work going on and the place is still closed.

I was bringing many tourists from Russia. I love caves. I saw many big and long in my life. This is small. But not bad. Enjoy it

Ιτ has an AMAZING view, the cave is small but magically beautiful and charming.... You should go there and even if you find it closed the view will reward you, you can actually see all the mesogia (translation in english is middle earth), koropi city, paiania and spata at your hand. Nature always surprise you.

Been there a bunch of times when younger with school etc. It's wonderful. Be advised: it's closed ever since 2012 or so... Don't know if it will ever open again!

Do not go here until 2014. Site is closed (aug 2012) onwards. No electricity for lights. You can waste 30 Euros on a taxi getting here or catch a bus (308,125) to Painia and catch a taxi up the mountain to find out you had a wasted journey. Katy - Aug 9 2012

It's trully difficult to express in words the feelings you have by entering a cave like this. The site is stunning. The way the crystals and stalagmites are illuminated provides a breathtaking view. It really worths to see at least once in your life what nature continually creates!
