You cannot miss this Orthodox Church set in central Glyfada when exploring the area. Behind it starts the center of Glyfada with numerous restaurants and shops.
The Church is by the main road, built in modern Byzantine style. Very nice interior, free to enter.

As we were looking inside the church window and we didn't want to disturb the service, we were welcomed in by the Father. He was English speaking and a delight to chat with. Glyfada restored our faith in Athens as it is clean and happening with lots of activity along the outdoor cafes. We were able to enjoy seeing regular Greek families dining after church, instead of the thousands of tourists in Athens city center. Thank you Father for your warm welcome.

We stumbled across this church when out for a stroll. Had a look inside - beautiful, ornate decor for a small church.

This church is devoted to the Roman Emperor Constantin and his mother Helen, founders of Constantinople (now Instambul) and orthodox saints. It is newly built but the circular style it has is rare to find.

although this is a landmark of Gylfada, it is not something exceptional.small and beautiful yes, but it is not necessary to include it in your visits to the city. It is also known for the express ceremonies. i know i was married there

A beautiful church at the central square of Glyfada, full of golden mosaics that make an impressive, dazzling spectacle as the light from the sun falls on them. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited this church as I have a keen interest in sacred spaces. I have visited many churches, mosques and temples in different places as I find the art and architecture in them inspiring. This church, although small, did not disappoint. Greek Orthodox Church interiors are very colourful and ornate and this was no exception. It was also a very cool and peaceful place to spend some time. I would recommend conducting a little research prior to looking at around any religious building as this will help you to decipher the objects, artefacts and their meanings.
We were very pleased to be passing the church a couple of days later as a wedding was taking place. A good reminder that this is an active church and not a just a tourist attraction. Seeing it being used for its intended purpose really brought it to life.

to get here, get out at the tram station in Glyfada called Plateia Katraki and walk 5 mins.
this church is operating and is not a tourist attraction - its a church for worshipping and for having weddings and christenings.
its large inside but as there is a very large open piazza around the church, its also popular in summer for weddings.
Its the largest and one of the oldest churches in Glyfada
