Visit Temple of Poseidon while on a cruise excursion. It's a drive to the place. The temple is by the sea. It is beautiful! The structure is stunning.

Simply a must, preferably around sunset. A location you must visit if you are in Athens. Do not forget your camera!

Enjoy the great overview of the area. Slippery when wet be very careful walking. Bring water with you. It's an amazing structure to see makes you wonder of what other structures/ temples we are missing.

We visited this incredible place with my teenage daughters and tween sons on the way to the airport before catching a flight to Corfu. What a spectacular detour! Worth the extra driving... a beautiful coastline along the way.

the bus to Sounion also stops on Fillenion St just off Syntagma. Far more convenient if you are staying near Plaka, Syntagma, or this side of Athens. Just ask your hotel.
