We've been to BB National Park countless times but after a short hike last fall on the edges of Big Bend Ranch State Park, I decided I needed a guide due to its total remoteness. We hired Charlie to take us to some cool relatively unknown areas of the park and he was awesome. We hiked to some of the... More

We did the Rio Grande Canoe trip with a large group of friends. Charlie and his crew were great. They coached and encouraged us through the more challenging parts of the river. Weather was less than ideal but they turned the whole thing into a positive experience. Enjoyable and fun time, he is interactive and really knows the area, plants,... More

We did a 2 day trip through the St Elena canyon and had an amazing time. Charlie (owner) was very easy to deal with and ensured everything went smoothly. Also all the river and camping equipment was of the highest quality. Mike was our guide. He was very professional while making sure we were safe and having fun. Also, Mike... More

I selected Angel Expeditions based purely on online reviews. Most of the reviews were spot on, this company and it's guides were fantastic! We had a blast on the river over our holiday break. The giudes were very knowledgeable about the river and surrounding environment. They also had some great stories and a fun sense of humor. I'd go back... More

I loved Angell Expeditions! Charlie ( the owner) and another employee helped us on our river trip. We had a great trip. We have gone canoeing and rafting in the Taos area, Truckee River and California etc and this was the best trip by far. It was beautiful! Charlie was very attentive and went out of his way to be... Charlie and his crew provided a memorable experience on the Rio Grande. I chose to solo in a canoe, my first such experience on a river with rapids. Charlie carefully scouted every tricky section and gave expert advice about how to negotiate with the river. His feedback gave me the confidence to meet the next challenge. Charlie shared lots of... We did a Rio Grande canoe trip with Chris while visiting Big Bend. Chris and his helper were great. Chris was knowledgeable and friendly (and funny). We had three couples, one of which (us) was not well versed in canoeing. Chris was patient and explained everything well. He provided lunch and it was very good (plenty of choices, fresh food,... We've done other outings with Charlie, but today was our first river trip.Beautiful day, river was pretty high and, even though we have very little kayaking experience, Charlie talked us through successfully traversing the rapids. Charlie and his team are knowledgeable and congenial and we an altogether delightful experience.

Went there with a bunch of friends on a two-day trip down the Santa Elena Canyon. Charlie and his crew not only took awesome care of us, but also enlightened us with every historic (and not so historic) piece of information around the Canyon, Terlingua, Lajitas, and that whole area. 10/10 would do it again.

Did a two day overnight Rio Grande float trip with Charlie. Amazing time and great service. There were 13 of us that floated and camped out. Trip is fun and has the most gorgeous views in Texas
