We visited the lake during a brief stay in Marble Falls. Locals told us the lake level has been lowered after recent flood to allow those living lakeside to clean up and repair piers. I’m sure it’ll be better with proper water levels.

Lots of pretty good restaurants, relax at parks on the river/lake, good jumping off point to visit wineries in the area or Austin, LBJ Ranch, Johnson City etc. The fireworks on the 4th were pretty good too.

I am not entirely sure if the park area closes at certain time. It is an open field that is kept mowed...Has one covered pavilion...The public area near Johnson Park.
