The festival of trees at Christmas time is really cool and you will see a BIG variety of decorations and trees. The kids love art camp during the summer and they get to do a lot of projects.

My spouse and I enjoyed this small town art museum with many paintings and special exhibits. I recommend this for folks on a budget.

Very nice staff person, but not much to see here. There are a couple of sculptures outside and 2 rooms of exhibits, one of assorted artwork and another for the etymologically inclined. There is another wing which was closed due to Summer Art Camp. Perhaps there will be more to see when art camp is over.

They have a ton of different attractions on the weekends which is perfect for people with children or people who are just visiting town. Highly recommended to people staying over the weekend! Check their schedules! :)

Check to see what special events are coming, otherwise there is not much there. The community hosts several events thru the year and they are worth seeing.

The museum is small, but a lot goes on. Great place to take children in the summer for their art camp. Different types of displays throughout the year. The facilities are great for weddings, receptions, etc.

It has been years since I visited this place...until this last Christmas. I agree with one of the reviewers that there is not a lot to see sometimes. However, if you are in town during the holidays, stop by and see their Christmas Tree Festival. It is a wonderful display of about 200 decorated Christmas trees. We all loved it,... More

Each summer for the past seventeen years, the Museum of East Texas hosts an Art Camp for 400 plus students ages three to fourteen. Additionally there are evening classes for adults. During this three month period, the main galleries are filled with the excitement of children and their joyful noise as they attend classes offered in twenty-one different mediums. Each... More
