It's famous in a song and has a real history, but the best part is nights when locals are sitting under the giant oaks, drinking beer and jamming country favorites and some originals. Dance hall events are a whole other deal. Enjoy the unique experience.

If you like old country music this is the place for you. Very rustic. Has a store you can purchase merchandise in as well as listen to good music.

One of the things I have always wanted to do was to go to Luckenbach. And now happy I did. Great little place just off the road. Has some really good local artist come by and play. And the occasional star drops by. Like Willy Nelson etc... Got a good seat and settled down to some good traditional country music.

We decided to spend the day in Luckenbach. Knowing that there would be music starting about 1:30, we ate lunch and then went out there. We did not try the food out there. It was so quaint with a very diverse group of people. The music was great. The actual dance hall was roped off, but we enjoyed being outside.Had... More

We did not stop to eat, we just wanted to look at the Oldtimey Dance Hall and the remains of the old Post Office. It was not really crowed, however, there was no live music at the time. Folks were friendly and there were lots of shade trees. It was very hot, it would probably been more enjoyable in the... More

It's so easy; it's so carefree. There are cowboys, hippies, and motorcyclists out for a ride. All of that open legend is true! What's great is that there are no strip malls across the street and not much has changed. A Texas treasure!

We came here as a side trip on a day trip to Fredericksburg, just to see what was here. We shopped at the General Store, then had a picnic that we brought on the grounds. You are not allowed to bring your own wine or beer. During the day, there may be live music (check website for schedule) and you... More

We spent 4 days in Fredericksburg... Luckenbach is our one regret! What a waste of time! First of all, when the sign says $10 DONATION admission... You think you have a choice. We didn't have any interest in the Fredericksburg Optimist Club. We just wanted to walk around and see if we liked the music. We were told we couldn't... More
