We see movies at the Stars and Stripes drive-in theater at least once every 2 months. The prices are reasonable and my girls love to play on the playground before the movie begins. The food is also fabulous and reasonably priced. We always eat a chihuahua Mexican sandwich with a jalapeño. They are delicious and one of the main reasons... More

Drive-Ins... remember them? I didn't think they still existed the way I remembered them. Well, they do in west Texas. We took the kids for a Saturday night double feature and ate dinner at the cafe. Great comfort food, huge candy bars and lots of popcorn! The sound is digital now, no more speakers that hook on the car. Just... More

We have watched many a movie at Stars and Stripes! We love go early and find a great spot and either bring a picnic supper or go to the great concession that they have. They have great hamburgers, chicken fingers or the Chijuaja(sp) which is what they are famous for! Watching a movie from your car or lawn chair with... More

Clean, safe, great price, great food at reasonable prices! Their french fries are the best and their popcorn is good and salty.

Have not been to one of these (drive-ins) since I was eight. Nice clean place, family oriented. My daughter and family loved it. Great food! Great price! Staff very friendly. Will go back again.

Stars & Stripes Drive-in Theatre is my favorite place to watch a movie. I enjoy being able to watch from the comfort of my vehicle, with friends, family, and even my dog. The 50s themed cafe is also great. It is so nice to order food that is great in quality and isn't outrageously priced like most other venues.

Most drive-ins closed down many years ago, but this one just opened up not too long ago. This is a fun cheap way to see movies. The only "bad" thing is that some of the food items can be greasy and a little pricy, but you can bring in your own food and drinks, so that makes up for it.

Love this place! It's definitely a throw back in time and those of us who grew up with drive-ins will especially love it. Having said that, this place is clearly set up for families with plenty of playground equipment for the youngsters. It's really a great place for all to enjoy.

I've been to the New Braunfels location and it was an awesome experience. This location needs a little updating at least parking lot wise. It felt kind of cramped getting around.

Bunches of reviews comment on the screen being dark. We watched 2 movies Finding Dory (yeah pretty bright) and Big Friendly Giant (fairly dark). Non of our group had a single complaint!! Looked around at other theater screens and they weren't too dark either. Excellent experience!! One tip Don't forget your lawn chairs!! We did and that sorta stunk but... More
