The Little Graceland sign, with pictures of Elvis, the replica of the gates of Graceland,
the antique Lisa Marie-type car, and the miniature replica of Presley's boyhood home in
Tupelo, Mississippi caught our eye, so we had to stop at this unusual roadside
attraction. There we met a local retired teacher, Simon Vega, who served with Elvis Presley in the US Army in Germany from 1958 to 1960. Vega has since turned a part of his house into a museum he calls "Little Graceland". It looks like a shrine to Elvis, and is filled with pictures of Presley, some with Vega and his wife, and countless pieces of memorabilia displayed in glass cases or attached to the ceiling and walls of the museum. He has Presley collector plates, album covers, key chains, playing cards, dolls, clothing, jewelry, and even his own recording of a song he wrote to honor Presley. Simon Vega will give you a tour you will never forget! The museum is open from 10-4.

It was going to be very interesting to us, as we've been to Graceland in Memphis, and to Tupelo MS. However, we were appalled at how much he pushed for extra "donations" after we'd already paid for our entrance/tour. It is quite run-down and you can't spend any quality time really looking at the items (which is what we wanted to do), he rushes you through pointing out a few items here and there, constantly asking for more money. We were so disappointed and a bit upset at the pushiness, we left as quickly as we could, without paying an extra dime. We've been telling others not to waste their time or money.

Mr. Vega was in the army stationed in Germany with elvis. He has honored elvis with this must see museum and yearly festival. It is an honor to know mr. Vega and his family. I hope they ask me to volunteer this January!

We travelled from Houston only to find the place was closed. Very disappointed. Looked it up on TripAdvisor and it was shown as open.

Was told closed for renovation and will be closed for about a month.

This is a great place, the annual shows are worth seeing. Look them up on the internet for the show dates. The acts were sensational, and some had great vocals. A sure want to see if you knew of Elvis.

Once a year Simon Vega opens his attic museum to visitors at Elvis Fest...he served with Elvis in boot camp and in Germany and this is his personal museum of memorabilia etc. He is 81 now and narrates his museum in person.....there is more information on the website as I believe he is open other hours as well.
