My parents took my son and I there when they wintered in Brownsville Tx and I have made many trips back there over the years with my son and also with grandkids. This is the only hand drawn ferry in N Amer so a real...More

We road on this ferry I guess 20 years ago. It was a very fun experience. Hope this tradition will continue for many years.

We took some family members and a visiting friend to see this attraction. The people near the gate were very courteous. They gave us a brief history lesson as we paid the small fee to observe. The area is beautiful and we took several pictures.

Very unique experience, and if you are around you must stop and see it even if you do not want to go across the border. Have your passport ready as you get close we were asked for ours before we got to the ferry.

We have taken several groups of friends to see this ferry. They always enjoy the scenery and the fact that the men are so friendly that pull the ferry across the river.

This piece of history is a bit out of the way but worth the visit if you love quaint. The ferry is actually in the middle of nowhere. The buildings that were there many years ago are all closed and derelict which just adds to...More
