This is one of the huge and gorgeous man made lakes in Texas that touches several cities such as Frisco, Little Elm, Lewisville, etc. The lake is an immense reservoir area for fishing and boating, with some recreational areas and beaches.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Lake Park campground, run by the city. Clean, quiet, well maintained. We head this way a few times a year to visit family, and since we live full time in our motorhome, we are always looking for places to stay in it. This is our favorite one in this area.

Was initially a bit worried being in the city but this was a very well kept park. We were very fortunate to have gotten a spot for close to a week with all the flooding in the DFW area. Park was pretty 'urban', not much green between spaces, but, that was to be expected. What was really nice was the cleanliness. The bath houses are not the most modern things I've ever seen, but, were very clean.. EXTREMELY clean as a matter of fact. Also very nice to have the camp hosts patrol through regularly both before and after dark. Very pleased with our stay at this park. We will probably be back next time we need to be in this part of the Metroplex

Typical concession stand food and snacks. The stand offers a nice variety of snacks, drinks, and hot food is available. The staff is always friendly.

There park, like most, has a lot of facilities and is a fun and peaceful place to visit. It is down the road by the Lewisville fishing barge, which is not really part of the Park, but which is close by if you are into fishing. We did notice more trash around than we thought there would be, and some of the facilities could use a little maintenance.
