Played The Wilderness in my golf league in February. As always, the course was immaculate. This course is a long way from Houston but it is worth the drive. The course is fun to play. Conditions were great. The course has elevated greens (it is a very flat part of Texas) and large bunkers. The greens are undulating so not... More

Do yourself a favor and play this course. Always in great shape, very fair, well bunkered and all you want from the tips and very enjoyable from the regular tees. I spent over 20 years as a PGA club pro so take my word for it this place is run well and has a terrific staff. You'll be glad you... More

Fabulous Tract! This golf course will test your skills. Pick your tees accordingly! We found the course in great shape even though late February. The one downside - no restroom on the front nine!! Not so good for such s nice golf facility!!

Wilderness is less than a mile west of HWY 2004 on Hwy 332W. (on the south side of the road). I visited Wilderness with friends several different times, but I am not a golfer. But I can look out on the beautiful course and have a cool one. All my golfer friends love the course. If you are not from... More

I mostly play in company tournaments and this is where we have played a couple of times. Enjoyable course for us to play. Worth spending a morning or afternoon enjoying the area and getting in a little golf.

This golf course is built in protected wetlands so there was a emphasis on building the golf course with minimum disruption to the environment. The result is a fantastic setting. The greens undulate sharply making this a very challenging scoring course. The staff is excellent. Food is sub par and takes a long time for them to prepare. Since it... More

My ATT map program didn't know where this course was so I was almost late. $53 for 18 holes with a cart. Good layout, but the holes into the prevailing south wind can be tough. don't forget your bug spray!!

We drove all the way from The Woodlands to play because of a coupon deal. It was well worth the drive and we will probably come back and play again. The course was in great shape and had some challenging holes. The back nine is more secluded and scenic. I would suggest that you bring mosquito spray because of it's... More

Just played The Wilderness Golf Club in Lake Jackson. Well worth the drive from Houston Texas area to play. Golf course was superbly manicured! Greens were quick, fairways plush, and very scenic holes throughout the golf course. Staff was very friendly. Very affordable. Best golf experience for me in Houston. Lots of beautiful golf with no homes and wilderness theme... More
