My wife and I stopped here on a trip to the area and it was really crowded on Father's Day. Everyone seemed to be having a great time on a beautiful day in La Porte. We got passes for the fishing pier and it appeared that quite a few people were having luck in catching some smaller fish on the day we were there. They had a beach there and the people there were just glad to be out in the fresh air and "getting some sun."

We usually pick up a meal and go enjoy watching the ships coming and going. This was the location of our first date so it’s a memory making place for us. Sunrises and sunsets are always great.
